      Ehh....a visit in dreams? o.O

Some ppl here say they've visited others in dreams......but...Id like to try that and see for myself....would it be possible I was Lucid, and then summoned a portal to lead me to someone's dreams..or would that lead me back to my own dream..rofl...I don't know how all this is possible, and 'yes'. A lot of you here, say that the mind is very powerful. And I believe that.....but....is there any way to reach someone in their dreams, by using the method above?

visit me in my dreams. Night....>_>

      Hello,

The 2 most common ways to enter someone's dream are DreamScaping and OBE.

DreamScaping is accomplished by forming a small network of other Lucid Dreamers who agree to enter and invite one another to participate in constructed dreams. Each person creates a DreamScape, so that when a person enters it, they can report back to the dream "artist" and verify if they were truly there by confirming what was in the DreamScape.

This sounds simple enough, but there are reasons to be cautious and to select your network very carefully. For example, if someone creates a DreamScape and does not know you are there, they may become afraid, and in their lucidity, bind you. Also, some DreamScapes can be very frightening. But, as long as you trust and know the participants well, you should be okay.

The other way to enter someone's dream is by OBE. I have done this on a few occasions and find it the easiest route. Although, I have never entered someone's dream without first being invited to do so. In this case, I visit the person and project myself into their dream, which is very difficult to explain. Once there, I try to help them become Lucid. Sometimes, they are able to. Other times, not. From my experience, I cannot help someone become Lucid if they have never experienced it before. It's a difficult task. I do believe their dreams could be manipulated, as I've done that, but I'm very careful not to create anything too startling.

wow thats sounds crazy i'd love to enter another persons dream. how do you learn how to do that? do you need to be quite adept at LDing first?

I actually questioned my friend about being able to visit my dream when I thought she had done, my last lucid dream I actually became lucid because she visited it and I could tell she was an actual visitor and not just a DC somehow, she took me somewhere where invisable voices told me it was a dream and I became lucid haha. She told me she does it alot through OBEing, but she only does it when the person needs her to be there for them or invites her somehow. Im really fascinated by it, and the more I ask her about it the less shes willing to tell me lol.

I kind of imagine that if I were to visit a person in a dream and especially if they have not LDed, then it would be like the movie (What Dreams Are Made Of), and the other person like his wife would be hard to communicate with. I know this was only in a movie but it is what I expect when I try to wake up my wife in a dream. I already told her I’m coming to get her so she won’t be totally surprised. 8)

That wouldn't be what'd really happen. In actuality, you can help the person feel easier in the Dream, considering you can make them Lucid (did that w/my niece). And she understands me perfectly. The problem I had in the past was that darn it she wouldn't quit calling me Casper whenever I'd go in there(and hey! I look nothing like Casper!)!!

      .
I hope your right, which would make the job of showing someone how to be lucid in a dream a lot easier.

As for the portal idea, I think it's impossible to say whether something will work or not. I think it just depends on your mind. There are certain popular techniques for dreamscaping, but I think there are almost an infinite amount of ways to do it, as long as you instill the will to do it.

nesgirl119, it seems like half of your posts are you saying "Shouldn't this be in 'such and such' forum?" I'm sure if the mods want to move something they will
Never stop searching for truth. In your search you may think you have found it, and perhaps you have, but if you hold on tightly to a single thread it will fray and it's greater meaning will become lost. There is always more truth stretching deep beneath the surface that promises to reveal ever greater the infinite, interwoven fabric of truth, woven in the looms of Heaven.

I do it, b/c it seems to get Seeker's or someone's attention so that they'll move it......but in this thread, after it is moved, I will remove that comment.
So, Matchbook, have you ever had a Shared LD b4, or entered someone else's dream?

Yes I am pretty sure I had a shared dream before, but it was almost impossible to completely verify. I was in an LD and wanted to see my friend, Jared. So I decided to try and see if I could enter his dream and find him. Then I found myself in this building where there was a concert of some sort going on. I saw him near the front and yelled to him. I went over to him and said "Hey, you know you are dreaming, right? I'm either in your dream, or you are in mine" He then looked from side to side and said "Are you sure?" I said "yes, try anything you want". Then with that he jumps up and starts flying around and ends up flying right out the door. I didn't see him after that point.

So the next day I ask him if he remembers seeing me in a dream. He says "Actually... yeah I sorta do. What do you mean, why?" So I reply "Well I think I enterred one of your dreams last night and I saw you.. it was at a concert." With that his pupils dilated for a moment as if in sudden realization. He says "I do remember a concert..or something like that, and you were there and talked to me, that's all I remember. That's messed up man, how'd you guess that?" (He doesn't believe in dreamsharing or anything) I repeated to him that I tried to enter his dream and that I did. He has notoriously BAD recall with dreams in the first place, so the fact that he remembered that he was there and I talked to him makes me believe it did happen.

wow, congratulations! I hope that in the future i may be able to do the same thing, it seems to me it IS possible, after hearing you...the problem is, when you enter ones dream, the 'person' might not believe you really are who you are, blow you up instead, its possible something can go horribly wrong, dont you think?
