Scared! Weird situation.

Just wondering if there is really such a thing as astral projection/dreamwalking, and how one would go about preventing someone from entering ones dreams - or if they are already there, how to protect oneself. Thanks!

I've heard that if you don't want to or they do not have your permission, nobody can enter your dream.

I had a very unsettling dream the other day, where a creepy looking unknown woman, with intensely dark eyes, came into my dreams. She wasn't wearing shoes (a symbol I've noticed with odd people appearing in my dreams sometimes). Anyways, after a brief encounter, I was suddenly being electrocuted to death. Right before I would have died, I managed to wake up. It was intense, and I worry about demons and the like (even though this is irrational, I am keeping an open mind). Any suggestions on how to get rid of unwanted potential "spirits" in ones' dream?

Im also not excluding the idea of that there might be something else to our nature that we simply can't explain like souls, demons, etc... But im sure this was basically just a nightmare. You can't be afraid that demons are going to take you before you go to sleep, lol :p

Use a mantra for protection. I have had "astral travel" a few times, and for a few brief moments I became very scared that I may encounter an evil spirit. In order to protect myself I repeated a mantra that makes me feel safe and protected. Yours could be a prayer or anything that you can repeat to make yourself feel protected. (for example if you are christian you could repeat a "hail mary" or an "our father" prayer)
