      Did I have an LD?

I haven't tried any techniques yet, but I have been keeping my dreams down. I went to sleep and woke up at like 6 AM, and I decided to sleep off a bit and hopefully get some good dreaming there (because usually I dream a memorable dream during that timeframe). So I dream and I am in a body of water, for which I think I come to the conclusion that, without any RCs, "this is BS". I literally fly off with ease to another location where I ask some small creatures that can talk a question that I know the answer to as a test. They knew the answer and said yes, and I wondered if I can control the answer that comes out. So when I asked the question, most of them said no (the wrong answer) but some of them said yes. I woke up suddenly and realized what had happened. The thing is, when I realized that I was dreaming, I don't think everything became so vivid like all the LDers say they do. I also felt like it was still fragments I had to put together to remember the dream that probably has holes in between. So what I'm asking for is a bit of analysis on the question I asked in the dream and also whether or not this was an LD or not... Thanks a ton in advance

Looks like so to me, congratulations! And about it not getting vivid, it's probably because you didn't stabilize the dream. So next time, try spinning or rubbing your hands when you become lucid, and that should do it!

EDIT: Here's a really good post about dream stabilization: http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-cont...damentals.html

Oh I forgot to mention... I kinda flew up from the ocean, and I spinned a lot, but I don't think it helped much... I think also how easily I could fly kinda made me a bit skeptical about whether it was a true lucid or not.

Is this your first LD? Usually, first lucid dreams are very unstable. My first LD lasted for a few seconds before I woke up
Anyway, you're saying it felt like fragments right? That could mean that you just don't have a good recall of it, so maybe that's why you remember it blurry. If that's the case, just keep on with your dream journal and your recall should improve!

This was my first LD.. Maybe.. I think I had one where I just knew I was dreaming but I remember it so poorly i don't even know where I was. I've been keeping a good memory of dreams but they never seem vivid like one might say. Lately I haven't remembered in 2 consecutive days whereas before I could remember 1-3 every day. I want my dreams to also feel and look like real life because that's simply the fun of it. On another note, this dream was very unusual towards the end when I asked the question and got those two answers... anyone care to explain maybe what is going on with that?
