Similar problem as others

I have similar problems as others here. I can't just remember to do reality checks to get lucid. I know there are other ways to get lucid too, like WILD, MILD but I am really frustrated. In fact, I've got lucid about 7-8 times with DILD method, because I remembered to do reality checks. But weeks pass. I regularly do various reality checks and I think I am aware. But nothing happens. What to do? I know i cant get lucid every night but once a week?

When you do your RCs, are you sure you do them mindfully? It's important to do them mindfully, think about what you're doing, if you perform RCs while thinking of what you'll have for lunch or anything like that, chances are they won't be incorporated into your dreams. Practicing (self) awareness throughout the day helps as well.
