Thread: automatic lucid dreaming

Im just wondering why some people have lucid dreams when they have had no form of instruction or training, while others (most, id assume) do not.

Some just develop a way to do it without even knowing it. Others just do it naturally.
Some of my friends do it, though they had no clue what it was or even that it is unique until I mentioned my work on it once.
Still, how this does happen to occur naturally is a good question.

I started doing it becasue when I was a kid I had alot of nightmares, so I started realizing I was dreaming and would wake myself up.
