I wanted a lamborghini but my dream gave me a toyota camry

Hi everyone, I'm both new to lucid dreaming and this forum. I have been trying to lucid dream for about a month now.
I have a total of 3 experiences that I think are very close to lucid dreaming, but may not actually be lucid dreaming (I'm not sure), and I need help on distinguishing whether these are actual lucid dreams or not. By the way, the lamborghini thing is in the third experience.

The first experience ever is when I was dreaming that I was chilling at my family's restaurant (which is a real place) with my dad when suddenly a few gangsters broke in through the front door followed by a few cops. They talked for a short while and the gangsters left and a cop came to grab me and my dad. He dragged us outside, and was about to beat me up or something when for some strange reason I looked down at my watch and then suddenly realize that I was dreaming! I then punched the cop and he flew away really far away. I started running. This part was strange because I suddenly feel so light weighted as if I could fly. Then I heard gunshots, the cop was actually shooting at me. I then dodged the bullets in slow motion (matrix style ) and turned back and shot back at him (my guns came out of nowhere). I continued running and suddenly I was surrounded by white light and I woke up.
This is my first ever experience of lucidity when dreaming. The moment I looked at my watch (reality check) and it changed I suddenly felt so clear and awake. it was like time stopped for me to realize and I was like "sh*t I'm actually dreaming I can do whatever I want". I could fully control my actions and I was like F*** you cop and punched him right in the face. I am pretty sure this is a lucid dream but I am just not able to control it properly yet. I only succeeded on controlling my own actions. I also think that the feeling of being in danger (the cop about to beat me up) also help induce it.

My second experience is very weird and honestly kinda stupid. All I could put together was I was walking in some kind of race track or something and then I suddenly fall down. Upon getting back up, I suddenly thought to myself "what if this is just a dream?" and then I realized that it was indeed a dream. I was confused and I picked up a piece of rock in front of me and examine the textures. It was as clear as in real life. Then I woke up.
I think this maybe just one of those dreams where you dream that you are lucid, but you actually are not lucid. I didn't really look at anything other than that piece of rock.

My third and latest (last night) experience happened just last night when I dreamt I was visiting my old high school with my friends and we were just chilling out. The non-lucid part was very unclear to me. I almost cant remember a thing until the moment it became lucid, when I suddenly ask my friend what time it is, then I looked at the school clock and it changed! (same as in my first experience) Then this time I decided I wanted to try to fly. I started off going up the stair case and jumping off it. I felt like I kinda glided around a bit then fell smoothly on the ground. After that I went to the top of a very tall building and tried to jump and fly, but I couldnt manage to jump because i was kinda scared. Then I was like whatever I will drive a lamborghini instead. I went to the building's parking lot and it was filled with old cars (for some strange reason). I walked around the parking lot trying to dream up a lamborghini. this part was very strange I was walking through the parking lot and cars just keep appearing. But I seem to ignore those cars and try to get a lamborghini instead. Finally, I succeeded in making a car appear right in front of me, and guess what, it's a toyota camry. (I think this is because this toyota camry is the car I am used to driving on my daily life, so it is the easiest to just imagine up). Then I stepped into the car and started driving it. Then I was like why dont I just make this toyota go as fast as a lamborghini? And it did. I stepped on the gas and the car shot at an insane speed I have never driven at in my real life. The engine sound was tearing up my ears and I was racing around town in this weird car. And the next thing I know is I already woke up.
I think this was the most lucid of my experiences. The moment the clock changed right in front of my eyes, I suddenly feel so clear. My vision went from blurry to like in real life. I just still have trouble controlling the external environment (making the lamborghini appear).

HOWEVER, there is one catch that makes me think all these 3 experiences MAY just be me dreaming that I am lucid dreaming.
When I wake up, it felt like I lost memory of what I did in the dream. I need to sit in bed for like 10 minutes to slowly recall what I did in the lucid(?) dream. Also, when I try to think back about what I did in the lucid dream, the image in my head is so unclear and blurry. I can remember the storyline, but when I try to picture it again, it is so hard to picture and it is so blurry. BUT the most important part is that when I wake up, all the lucid part just feels the same as the non-lucid. I dont really know how to explain it in words, but when I wake up, the experiences are not 'special' anymore, it is just like a part of the non-lucid dream. Sure, I still know that in that part, i am actually aware and was controlling my own actions, but after waking up, it all is just as unclear as the non-lucid part. Although I am 100% sure I was controlling my own actions in these lucid(?) parts of the dreams.

Please leave feedback and comments, I really want many opinions on what other people think this is. Thanks!

Hey Lolol, Welcome! Your experiences all sound like lucid dreams to me. As long as you consciously decided to do those things you did, then it was. When I first started I had very low level dreams (couldn't really hear or feel things properly) that I was aware nonetheless and I considered them Lucid dreams. There are just so many types of dreams and you'll soon experience the range of it with more experience.

In regards to losing the dream quickly as you wake up, I think that is pretty normal, considering that we all lose dreams fairly fast no matter whether lucid or not. I also think that with more experience and better recall it will get much easier to recall dreams as soon as you wake. So much that you won't need to write them as soon as you wake at night and can actually carry on dreaming and recall later in the morning fro example. When I first started and didn't have the recall I do now I actually woke myself from lucid dreams just so I could remember all the details when I woke.

Control will also come with time and practice, I suggest you read much about dream control and always keep trying. Just bear in mind that specially at the start we seem to think that in our first lucid dreams we will already be able to do everything with no difficulty, and that in a way is true if you truly believe you can, that's why I advise persistence, but just know that in certain dreams we don't always have all the control of the external environment as we wish we would have.

If you have any more questions be sure to ask, I'd be happy to help as much as I can. Happy dreams!

Hello and welcome to the forums. I just had my first LD a few days ago. Read my DJ. I had the same issue. I had realized that I was dreaming but had only a little control over it. I couldn't control my enviroment either.

Your fingers transforming seems pretty creepy hahaha
I think my dreams are too inclined towards my daily routine and thus making it harder to try to dream up something else, like me chilliing in my family's restaurant or driving that toyota camry.
It's like it happens too often in real life that it's hard to avoid in dreams

Ikr. I don't know why that happened. I only expected 4 or 6 fingers and not mutating fingers xD
