My normal dreams tend to involve flying of some sort upwards of 30-50% of the time, my all time favourite and most engaging form of flying is my "Drogue Sailing" method.

Stand on the sidewalk, pull out a large white towel or a small bed sheet (white), and unfurl it. Grab each sides corners in both hands, i.e. the right sides corners are in my right hand and the left... etc. Now there are three ways I prefer toying with this, with three being my alltime favourite dream [flying] passtime.

1. Climb up a telephone pole, sit or stand at the top, unfurl and ready your 'sail.' Then either:
a. Jump off, let the sail catch the air and pull up quickly. It should take you up with it, grantred you need to repeat the toss/pull step until you reach a good Height, then use your sail as a parachute and slowly descend.
b. don't jump off perse, just manually fill the sail and pull.

2. From the ground- just toss and pull, rising with each heave.

3. [Favourite] You are standing on the salt flats in Idaho, low mountains are visible in the far distance- unlike the salt flats however it is comfortably cool with a great breeze about force 4 on the beaufort scale (11 to 16 knots). Unfurl and ready your sail, turn downwind (away from the wind), and let your sheet fly. Done properly the wind will catch and send you along briskly. You should be horizontal to the ground with your feet pointed and level with the horizon, adjusting your sail yields vertical motion.

I have done all three [4] options several times in normal dreams, and #3 in a LD.

I've tried all types of dream flying I can think of, and the Drogue Sail method is the most fun to me.

I would like to culminate #3 by combining it with my second favourite realword passtime, sailing, and lucid dreaming, by creating and manning a sky ship. Mains'l, Jib, and all.
