DC said "you need a frame of reference" ??

last night i had a lucid dream, after i became lucid i decided i wanted to create an apple, at about the time i thought this, a DC who had been in the room approched me and grabbed my arm and said "you need a frame of reference" then she sort of pulled me towards this little doll (that i had seen before in the dream but didnt pay much attention i actually didnt know it was a doll before, so maybe it chanced as we approced it) we sat down and she picked it up and showed me that there was a little thing that looked a little like an apple on stick that the doll was holding. At about this time, two apples showed up behind the girl, one a small apple (like one you would find on a back yard apple tree) and another like one you would find in a grocery store.

Anyways, has anyone had a similar experence, and/or what does 'you need a frame of refecence' mean?

      A few ideas,

last night i had a lucid dream, after i became lucid i decided i wanted to create an apple[/b]
I, personally, have thus far have demonstrated a lacking ability in creating objects and or people, that isn't however to say what is there isn't vivid- to the contrary, it is very vivid and detailed. I have nothing to base your abilities to actualise and transubstantiate objects on, so bear with me.

Your conscience solely inhabits your physical body, thus everything you have seen and done up until the moment you read this has been from your physical frame of reference- as everything always is. Essentially your body and mind knows not of any other way to relate to the world, which is among other reasons why we take our dreams to be so real- despite however improbable they may seem in retrospect.

Training your mind to accept that there is another way of referencing things may seem hard by default, though with practice we overcome this and begin to dream lucidly.

Even with that ability one isn't necessarily freed from the long imprisonment to the confines of ones physical frame of reference. It's for this reason most of us fail to manifest or change objects in our Lucid dreams, because that whole idea of creating something instantly out of nothing is so unreal. While one may believe they can do it, *Realitive logic dictates we can't. Thus we still believe deep down in our subconscience that the task is impossible.

Perhaps this DC was your subconscience telling you that. Reasons for this include the possibility that all your reading on the subject has manifested itself as a dream person to convey these new truths to yourself.

As I see it the doll represents you, the fact that it is female represents the fact you are not confined to your physical self- i.e. you could be a female in your dream as easily as a male. The doll holds an apple to reinforce this concept of infinite probablities. The sudden appearance of the apples behind your DC in the culmination of the guides visit, anything is possible- you can create a mediocre, average, or excellent apple at the slightest whim.

Or perhaps it was just a trippy experience, though Douglas Adams would probably dismiss this as depressing

I've written this in haste, though I hope it offers something of use.

      * Word i've just made up to encompase Logic, physics, etc in reality- as opposed to logic and perceived reality in ones dreams..
      Lucid Dreams: 14

Invisible Pink Unicorns are beings of awesome mystical power. We know this because they manage to be invisible and pink at the same time. Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.
