Some of the deepest dreams I've had were dreams in which a lot of emotions were involved (love). One dream, where I became lucid and thought to myself :"what do these dreams really mean?" and my "subconscious mind" replied with a picture, and on this picture were 20 explanations/reasons for the meaning behind the dreams. I can't remember every reason but they were short and accurate, here's some that I can remember: "This situation is Ironic to you.", "This is a reflection of your emotions.","This is an event in a parallel universe","This is an emotional lesson.", "This is a past life memory", "This is a fabrication of your projection.", and there were more, but I couldn't remember them all after waking up. Another interesting insight I figured out, which is sort of confusing was when I lucid dreamed and attempted to talk realistically to dream characters. What happened was I would reach out to dream characters, and the one's that were my own projection would sort of "ignore" my questions, or answer them indirectly and strangely, sort of like talking to myself. However some dream characters seemed to get suspicious of my lucidity, as if it were something profoundly bad. Then as I would ask these "certain" characters deep things about dreams and reach out to them like spirit guides, they would dissolve/transform into their actual form, which was a scary evil monster type thing in most cases (with these external entities) compared to my own projections which never changed despite my questions. Like in the movie matrix, when they became aware of my lucidity they would turn into "mr Anderson" in the way that he would in the movie, and start projecting this intense emission of fear/scare emotions onto me, which would freeze me and cause me to wake up. It's like your projections in dreams give a good hiding place to these "mr anderson" entities which seem to be the cause of every fear based dream. Another creepy example of this was when I was having a scary dream and went to a party, lots of projections/programs that were clueless of my lucidity, and then some random woman who was reading a book to me as I walked in, her voice suddenly changed into that extremely scary multi octave voice you'd hear in rap songs. It seems to me that these entities don't appreciate people becoming lucid, and I realized after all of this, and lucid dreams in general that lucid dreams are an interwoven fabrication made up of various arsenals of memories (events which you actually experienced) in other lives or this one, and when you lucid dream you're simply bringing attention to the memories which correspond to your emotional desires at the time.
I have seen God like entities on a very few occasions. It always includes overwhelming awe and emotion.

Sounds like an OBE, the silver chord being the "life line" or "astral chord" which binds you to your physical body. The merging into everything is something i've experienced before, it's almost like love is the acceptance/understanding/non resistance of everything in existence, and when you allow it to happen you feel this love/connection to everything like you become a wave in the ocean.Quote:

It wasn't all universal, but I think the deepest moment in one of my dreams was when I dreamed I had just had a baby. My parents were so supportive (in my dream I am pretty sure I was still in highschool) and nonjudgemental, but I hadn't been able to breastfeed the baby yet. It just never seemed to work out. I had just gotten home from the hospital and took the baby back to my room for a nap, and tried to feed it, and boom. My whole universe was in that one moment. It's hard to describe with words how I felt when the baby started suckling for the first time. But it was a very deep moment for me, and when I woke up it actually almost broke my heart that there wasn't a baby in my arms...
Maybe it was hormones, but still.

meeting my (dead iwl) dad in a LD the first time was pretty intense. I was crying like a baby and could not stop hugging him and thanking him... I guess I have not yet really come to terms with his passing.
I've seen him in one early LD sleeping, but I could'nt remember that he was dead iwl. In the dream mentioned above I knew he was dead, and the feelings where really overwhelming.
I guess it's not just me whose feelings get, like, quadrupled in dreams.
I've had one nightmare in my youth that really was deep in a strange sense. I can remember most of it crystal clear still. At the end of the dream a truck squished me and I woke up so frightened and still had a searing pain in the side that the truck hit me in the dream. The pain ebbed away in a few minutes, but that was truly frightening shit. I guess the hit in the dream was just a result of me having the pain iwl or something like that. But this combination of dying in a nightmare and waking up in pain at the exact same location that you just got hit in the dream... that was not cool.
^^ I had a similar dream where my nemesis shot me in the side and I woke up like I would have from a LD (ws non-lucid though) and had an aching pain where I was shot for the next 5 minutes. Scary stuff. Also my dreams are generally very emotional, much more so than IWL
I haven't had too many 'deep' dreams yet, but I did have one dream in which someone had a giant horn sticking out of his head from some growth, and what may have been a dream guide told him/me that if things are easy then they aren't worth doing. My first lucid dream also was pretty deep in the sense that I walked through a door into this infinitely expanding white emptiness, which I took to be sort of like my sub/consciousness, idk if that's accurate though hehe. Also my comprehension of the power I actually had over my dreams was pretty awe inspiring.
Yeah the first true "awakening" inside a dream was also pretty special :) a combination of shock/joy and an utter feeling of accomplishment and wonder. The feeling lastet for the entire day after the dream.
i once had a dream that i was at a blockbuster with a couple of my crew. we were attacked and i fought off the enemies while my two guys hid, disguised in a corner. i walked up to them after it was over and said "oh here's tweedle dee and tweedle dum!"
i walked out without them, walked to the dock on the beach and road my jet ski across the bay to my house. inside i said hi to my wife and walked to the work out room and started doing pull ups. my son walked up and said "what are you doing daddy?" i said "pull ups son."
the next morning i was speaking to my boss on a roof top. he was explaining his ascension to his current position and metaphorically comparing it with the billowing of some sheets in the wind that were drying on a line nearby.
then i woke up.
why is this so deep?
i do not have a "crew".
i've never been to a blockbuster by the bay.
i do not live anywhere near a bay.
i do not own a jet ski.
i do not own a house.
i do not have a wife.
i do not have a son.
i do not do pull ups.
i do not have the boss or job as in the dream.
i was not me.
i was living someone elses life with their memories, thoughts, family and actions.
weird.
what did he/she look like? like a krishna type earthly deity or the massive universal deity like vishnu or shiva in his nataraja form? or what? i almost have chills imagining this. any details you feel like sharing would be awesome.Quote:

My deepest lucid was when I truly though I was trapped in a lucid dream and had died in real life while sleeping. It started as a sort of run of the mill, wobbly lucid, but as I continued it got stronger and stronger and stronger and more and more clear until it was almost indistiguishable from waking life. I was in a beautiful gated community whose houses were vibrantly red clay and every accessory from countertops to fridges was brand new. I opened the door to find two gentlemen returning from a round of golf, chatting happily. I waved and they stopped briefly to wave back, then continued talking. I continued outside and saw that the community was nestled a on a cliff right at the edge of the ocean; there were flowers everywhere in flower boxes and community gardens, and everything was just SO happy and bright. I was on a loop or a cul de sac, and in the middle of the loop was a beautiful garden and a sign that read "Eternal Community". As an RC check I looked away, scrambled it in my mind, and looked back. "Eternal Gardens." Now that spooked me.
I decided I was getting nervous and chose to wake myself up. My eyes pop open and I stand up from my bed. I am in a red clay house with beautiful furnishings. I walk outside to see two gentlemen returning from a round of golf. I don't wave this time and they continue on. This happens six more times. Eventually I walk to the garden in the middle of the cul de sac and pick a flower, slowly realizing I have died and this is heaven or some form of afterlife. I look at the flower I picked and I can see a tiny universe contained in its bud. I stare intently and demand that I am returned home. I zoom through the flower, into the universe within, into our galaxy, solar system, and eventually into my house and sleeping body. I struggle for what feels like forever to awaken myself out of sleep paralysis. My girlfriend is screaming and the walls are melting. I demand to wake up and eventually I sit bolt upright in my real bed with a gasp.
That dream... changed me.

I felt like this was a test and I needed to do something. I figured the first thing that one would do is light the incense. But no, that would destroy the incense and the match, what else could I do? I looked at the mango and wondered if I should bite into it. No, same problem. Then I thought about the mango having a seed! One of the skills I had practiced was causing trees to sprout out of things like skittles. I focused and caused the mango seed to start sprouting into a sapling right there on the alter.
The back wall lit up and the cracks in the wall started rearranging into a face. The face started talking in a powerful voice. It said, "I am Horus! You have drawn the attention of those with power. Why have you come here?"
Then I did perhaps the most arragent and odd thing I could imagine, I suddenly decided that I was not going to speak with Horus until I tried calling out to SIVA now that I was someplace otherworldly. I turned from Horus and faced the back cave wall. I called out SIVA three times in the same mantra like reveribrating way, as loud and strong as I could.
Suddenly everything changed, but it was an emotional change. Little changed physically, but I was overwhelmed with awe. I was unable to speak or move and I as terrified and also filled with other intense emotions, in a way beyaond explaining. The back wall turned into black obsidion and a green light shown behind it. The light moved like a flame, but was inside the blackness.
A voice of ultimate authority and power boomed out, "I am SIVA! The gates have been opened to you! For now, leave this place!" I was suddenly pulled backward out of the cave and down the canyon. I was slammed back into my body and sprung awake with my heart racing and tingling with adrenalin.
It was very soon after that that the things following me started to reveal themselves and eventually one of them became my first real dream guide. Eventually after years of training I was taken to the astral and allowed access to a wondeful city. I have been going there for about 15 years now.
Sounds crazy? Some of you will not be able to believe this stuff about dream guides and ghoing to the astral. However, for those who can believe, if you want this, it is attainable with dedication and time.

I have had deep dream in the "contemplating the world that I have created and being amazed by how vivid it is" genre. My second lucid dream captures this. I was walking on a sidewalk between too high ways. The cars were passing by fast. I walked to a tree on the sidewalk and touched a leaf. Touching it was more vivid than it would be in real life. A drop of water slid down and onto my finger. The wetness of the leaf was just amazing. In awe, I said "this tree is so beautiful". A woman passing by said "I had a tree like this in my backyard, when my dog saw it, it went 'plop'", and she did a little thing with her hands. And then, the dream went on, but that tree was amazing. :P And, in another LD, I had, what really marked me, was the feeling of the dream, when I had my face pressed against a yellowed window, moving my finger across its surface. Such simple moments, but so beautiful at the same time.
I have had dreams, so very ordinary, but that reached me and helped me change my behavior in real life. Just things like a woman asking me if I was happy, and I realized I was scared, a week before embarking on an exciting journey in real life. It reminded me to not let paperwork get the best of me.
I've had dreams with intense emotions, such as one in which I fathered a child, although I'm really not at that stage in real life. Weirdly, in those dreams, there is very little focus on the mother, my whole love is for the baby and this loves persists for the whole day. I had a dream, I actually entered the bedroom of my "ex-wife". Her new husband was sleeping with her. I felt no emotions towards that. I was going directly to my baby girl's baby bed, to rock her to sleep, saying, "my little girl needs her daddy to go to sleep". I think it's a very interesting dream. :P
And I've had dreams in which I've experienced being a complete different individual. My personal favorite: I was a seabird. And that was my life, just flying over the sea. I didn't even know what a human was, and where the boats went, and in the end, I finally decided to embark on an adventure, to leave my nest and follow the boats to wherever they go. I woke up confused to find out I was a human.
So many great memories... I love dreams. :cloud:
I'm still waiting for that mystical dream experience though :P ... But my view right now, is that dreams are just "God" and I, just being together, so I don't have to look very far. (Replace the word "God" by whatever word you prefer, I don't personally use that word to describe what I'm talking about).

The dream I am about to share is not one of my dreams but a dream my wife had years ago when she was a teenager. When she was a child her mother told her that she could fight the monsters in her nightmares and tell them to leave her alone, or end the dream herself if she just closed her eyes and chanted "this is just a dream", like a mantra. This worked quite well for her, she had lots of nightmares and was able to end them if she really wanted to in her childhood. In her teens she had other nightmares and the old strategy would not work. She then altered the dreams, changed the monsters or bad people into something else to make them less frightening. So she was basically using dream control and was having lucid dreams...
She had a bad recurring nightmare about a demon hound chasing her through a dark and old city, she woke up when the hound catched her, sweating and screaming. Then she decided to try and change the situation, remembering the advice her mother gave to her as a child. She turned the wolf into a hare and laughed as it hopped away from her. She woke up with a grin on her face and ran to her mother, still sleeping in bed. She woke her up and told her "mom I was able to win against that hound, I turned it into a hare!" and her mother turned around to her and was furious, angry and yelled at her "DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN" "changing dreams is dangerous" "you will go to hell for that" etc... and she said the look in her mothers face was completely terrorizing. Turns out this was a false awakening and she then woke up for real. She told me that this feeling of fear and terror lasted for the whole day and she was uncertain if she was still dreaming for minutes after this FA. Remember, she had no idea by that time of all the info on this board or anything about LD.
I guess thats why she is still hesitant about that matter.
