      Make the dream last more

I have a had many lucid dreams in these days but all don't last more than a few minutes. I try with the stabilization but it has the opposite effect and the dream stop while I'm stabilizing. I tried not to stabilize and the dreams was longer but on the order of few minutes. Have some tips?

      Hello NovaZK,

What stabilization techniques are you using once lucid?

I tried touching other things, shout or rubbing hands

I've had this problem a lot before I reached about 40 lucid dreams, it will get easier! But these awakenings are the best opportunity you'll get to pull of a DEILD, don't stress about these pre-mature awakenings, that will make things worse.

There are plenty good DEILD tutorials here on Dreamviews, check some of them out so you'll have a back-up technique to regain lucidity after awakening.

      Good luck!

Were you doing this in a rushed manner, or calm and collected manner? When grounding oneself in a lucid dream, you have to really take a moment, stop everything, and take in the dream itself. Focus on each sense, focus on the fact that it IS a dream.

Self awareness is the key to becoming lucid, stabilizing the dream, and making it last longer
