Question Healing pain during lucid dream

      Hey everyone !

I have had a crippling chronic pain for almost 10 years (located on the left ribs) which is essentially unexplained physically, so I have tried every possible treatment and medicine but there's no long-term cure for this not-really-identified problem.

I know the possible effects of hypnosis or auto-suggestion against physical pain (it didn't work for me), and I've always wondered if lucid dreams could also be a tool for this.
/!\ I'm not talking about healing a real inflammation/wound/lesion, I’m talking about easing the pain which is psychological /!\

I already "saw" my pain in a lucid dream: it appeared as a cliff in which were destroyed sand castles and snakes crawling around and in it. But it didn't help me.
For several months, I have tried to take advantage of my frequent lucid dreams by asking a DC for help — a DC I considered as a "healer" (that's how I call him, in french "guérisseur"). So I get to see him sometimes: once he massaged my back (which is not where it hurts...), once he appeared as a girl in a wheelchair, another time as a rabbi, once he told me I had to go "up" (in french "en haut") so I climbed up the house where I found some kind of a mill's granary and some nestled birds... Last time I tried something, it was by swallowing a medicine I asked for in a dream organic grocery (didn't ask help from my healer this time).
Anyway, now this is where I am: nowhere. None of these weird experiments has helped me at all, so I am reconsidering my strategy which has been wobbly and unhelpful so far.

Has anyone here ever healed pain in a lucid dream ? And how did you proceed ?
If anyone has any idea about how I could go on, it would be really helpful because I'm so lost. I was thinking about trying reiki things during lucid dreams, maybe it would have an impact during this particular state of consciousness.
Oh and I think it is relevant to specify that in my case I don’t feel the pain during my lucid dreams (it rarely happens). I feel it only when I'm awake (and not all day long).

I'm too honest to just simply tell you that it will definitely work and that it will be easy.
I'm sure that you can help manage it to some degree this way, but I just don't know how effective it will be. I am not trying to be negative, and I'm not saying it won't work. I'm just saying that I'm not sure on this one.
---o--- my DCs say I'm dreamy.

      Thanks for your support Patience108
@sloth : No problem with honesty, I posted this to have differents opinions, so thanks for yours!
Can you develop your doubts please ? Why do you think we could only manage it to some degree (and what degree ? what limit ?). Actually I'm also not sure about this, but when I see the effects of hypnosis on this kind of problems it gives me confidence. It didn't work for me because I wasn't very responsive to hypnosis but what I experienced reminded me a lot of LD's (which involves very less susceptibilty to me). Even if these two have huge differences, the way it is used seems pretty much applicable to LD's.
I already experienced hypnosis exercises (not the same thing but about forgiving people and bad memories) during LD's and it worked, several times, with unexpected instant (and long terms) effects, that's also why I have a bit of hope.
A friend of mine gave me an article about healing pain during LDing but I can't find it anymore, I will share it here as soon as I get it back.
(again, sorry for the shaky english, I may not be clear)

Maybe it is psychosomatic. If it is the case, then you search for the source of pain. Asking dream friends for real critics. Searching deep memories from childhood. Going in basement, caves, deep forest, deep sea etc. to see from what are you afraid. It can happen, that the way is the one, that you do not really like. This is what I think, and what I would do, and it is just a hypothesis...Search! Don't give up! Good luck!

@Gyalogos : Thanks for your opinion on this. My pain is both psychosomatic and physical (there was a lesion which has healed and the scar is still sensitive, but according to the doctors I should feel it but not be in pain, that's why I think it's a mix). Thank you for the advice and the support
I tried some things like going back to where I was hurt (in a LD), several times, deal with people (DC) involved (some of them didn't took good care of me at the moment IRL). It was an amazing experience but didn't help obviously..

This morning in a LD I met again my "dream healer", I asked him to heal me and he cutted a piece of rusted sheet metal (of my parent's garage), then he putted it around me like it was a dress/coat or an armur. Weird

Here is the article I was talking about previously : http://www.dreaminglucid.com/wp-cont...March-2011.pdf

In the meantime i would do incubation. 2-3 meditations a day. When I am deep enough I would imagine myself without the pain, or the moment of finding the reason. You must really feel it, that your case is over. Here and now, not in the future. If somebody wants to come down from the cigarette, he must imagine himself without the cigarettes in his hand, mouth and pocket. He must know that he is not a smoker. Here and now. Changing your inner painting from yourself. This helps on this way: across your thinking, intuition and "luck" (the circumstances you find yourself, and the information coming to you) you will drift to the direction that leads to the answer. I would not forget: I don't want to be healed, I know that I am healed. The deep planted ideas, will cristalize out. Wish you the best! (Uh...my english...sorry, sometimes I am lazy to use the translator)
