      Random lucidity and Vividness techniques

I never do reality checks. I used to a couple years ago for a few months but then I just stopped after I had a few lucid dreams. The thing is I still have lucid dreams but there seems to be no trigger, like I all of a sudden think "I'm dreaming" ,but for no reason. Does anyone else randomly become lucid?

I had a lucid dream last night and It was VERY long. So far out of the techniques I have tried for keeping the dream vivid the best is to open your "dream eyes". This will often produce false awakenings for me, but I find it causes the vividness of WILD dreams. The problem though is that it will almost always put me in a new location. Does anyone know a reliable technique to improve vividness that will keep me in the same location?

Another thing, Does anyone else find that melatonin causes dreams of being chased or hunted? This has happened to me every time I have taken it. I tried it to see if it would make my dreams more vivid in general, but I did not notice that effect. I took 3mg every time. What do you guys think about B6?

Yeah, I've never become lucid as a result of a failed reality check, it's always just been a sudden realization that I'm dreaming. I think that method of achieving lucidity is just as common, if not more so, than becoming lucid by failing a reality check, although I'm sure it varies greatly from person to person.

I don't think I'm familiar with that technique, can you explain it to me?

The technique involves just opening your "dream eyes" even though they are already open. It is like having layers of eyes and when the dream gets cloudy you open a new layer. Some people might wake up by actually opening their real eyes, but for me I just get intensely vivid location changes/false awakenings. For me it can keep a dream going for a VERY long time.

That's my most common way of going lucid. Prior to a lucid dream, i might have a series of very long, very vivid dreams, wherein i actually notice things are out of place, but never do reality checks. One night, i'll notice a dreamsign, and just go lucid, just like that.
Regards melatonin, i've never taken it, i don't think you can get it here.
I still say the best thing for a good night's sleep and plenty of dreaming is routine, as far as is possible!
