DanB, believe me when I say this is FAR from all there is to Lucid Dreaming!
What you experienced is either just a tiny bit of awareness, or as pdunc stated you had a normal dream which was simply about lucid dreaming.
Also, as a general advice. Since you're quite new to LDing, you might want to consider starting out with DILD, as most beginners tend to find more success in that direction (including myself).
What you experienced is NOT anywhere near the limits of lucid dreaming.
Most of your lucid dreams will most likely feel and seem exactly like the waking world does.
Also, I don't know if this is the same for everyone else, but LDs and normal dreams don't feel the same to me.
When I wake up and recall a normal dream, it feels more like a movie than an actual memory, if you get when I mean.
For LDs however, I clearly remember being there and actually knowing, not just the 'dream me' knowing, but me KNOWING that right here and now I am in a dream and my body is asleep in my bed.
I hope this makes sense to you somehow. It's a bit hard to convey the feeling of lucidity to someone who hasn't experienced it for themselves. There is so much more to it and you will get there very soon if you keep up your training. Good luck on your journey!
