weird dream I had last night (non lucid?)

I sort of remember tiny bits of a dream I had last night, but not much. One bit I do remember though is putting my finger through my hand as if doing a reality check but I dont remember anything after that so I dont know if I went lucid This happened to anyone else?

Hi there. That doenst sound like a Lucid Dream beacse you dont seem to remember any of it Perhaps you were Lucid though. Work on yoru dream Recall.

I have a question regarding this idea which I've thought about before. When you are dreaming your concious is not aware which is why you can forget so easily, but after becoming lucid, doesn't your concious become "awake", so wouldn't it make it nearly impossible for you to forget your dream. It seems like it would be the same as forgetting completely what happened to you a half hour before, it just doesn't happen. Or is there something else that can make your aware concious forget all about your dream?

I just cant think why else I would have done the reality check for putting my finger through my hand, the only time I do that is for a reality check. Im sure I remember having some realization I was dreaming but after that its a blank.
