Someone asked for a poll on whether people who have lucid dreams like to fly in their dreams... so here it is.

Yes, I love it. It's easy and a lot of fun.

I don't like flying because theres just so many more interesting things I could do in my dreams other than fly.

Flying is usually one of the last things I have on my mind when I have Lucid Dreams because flying usually wakes me up.

I would much rather play around and practice conjuring up dream scenes myself without the help of DC's, or create big puzzles to try and solve...

Flying is also a fun way of travelling! You just gotta be careful not to scare the townspeople into a frenzy.

I totlay agree with Kastro187420. There are so many more interesting things to do with my lucid time than flying. I lvoe to explore and talk to people. Id rather be fire or water or the wind. Flying is over rated.

I love flying in my LDs. The thing is, before i had my first LD, I had always wanted to fly in my dreams, but never succeded. So now when i have an LD the first thing I do is take off superman style, preferrably through a brick wall, as a kind of reality check. I want to try other things aswell of course, but I'm just a beginner, so flying seems to be the easiest thing to remember to do. Oh, that and sex. I want to do other things too, but am still pretty stupid in my LDs. It's like my reptile brain takes control over me. I have to work on that i guess. But flying will always be great, I guess.

Yeah, I'm still really unsteady when flying. I'm going to start trying various gimmicks--y'know, flying carpets and such--to see if that helps.

There are two methods I've used for flying so far in my dreams. The first, and by far the most common, is to simply stretch my arms out to my sides like airplane wings and jump into the air.

The second one, which I tried out in a semi-lucid dream not too long ago, involves taking a magazine, opening it up over my head and using an updraft to sweep me up into the air, using the magazine like a hang glider.

I've never had any trouble flying. For some reason I just never have any doubts that I can fly in a dream, which is probably why I can do it so well. The things I still find difficult, like teleporting and going through solid objects, are things I find myself having doubts about. Just believe you can do it and it will come, I suppose.

Oh yes, I love flying. That never gets old to me.

Although as some others have mentioned, there are many more interesting things to do besides flying.

But sometimes it's fun to go high and wave to the people in the airplanes!

      Honestly?

I always find it somewhat annoying that nobody ever seems properly impressed that I can levitate. I feel that flying is a skill to which a certain respect is due, and for people to withhold the admiration due to a levitator is simply rude. Generating a frenzy would be preferable to being ignored or dismissed.

I suppose I have always felt that way. By my seventeenth birthday I had become an actual private pilot and was careful not to keep it a secret from anybody that I flew airplanes. and it never would have occurred to me that anybody would not have considered it to be a distinction.

Are you talking about levitating in your dreams or real life?

I think he is talking about dreaming, but it's amusing the people in your dream are rude.
