how long have you been lucid dreaming?

i have been trying to have a ld for a little over a month and i had my first one last weekend. I was wondering how long it took you to have your first ld? i am also interested in how long it took you to have fairly good control over your dreams?

I had many LDs when I was a young child naturally. As I got older they were less frequent. I started really getting into it 2 years ago. In about 2 months I was having good control with an LD about once a week. Now I have more, but they are usually snippets of Lucidity and control. During the summer i am much better.

The first one in March of this year was the first one and happened Naturally. I think it was two days after that and after reading everything I could find I had a second and the day after the third. I had only about one or two short experiences a week after that. Over the last couple of months there has not been any. It may be due to an extreme amount of stress that if I where to explain would bore and depress you. I think things may change soon do to relocation of residence. Sure hope so.

It's been three months since I started. I had my first two within three (2.5) within a month of starting, and haven't had a single one since!!! It's still driving me insane...

YES, I know there are others who have had longer dry spells than me....

I can't say I really know anything about what you're talkinga bout , but I said plausible because of that incredibly cool blind spot trick .

      lucid dreaming

I have been lucid dreaming all my life, just didn't know what it was called. I have had some very intense ones but, these are the ones that meant the most to me. When I was 15 I was dreaming and an announcer came through my dream (just a voice like on a gameshow) and said "Be home tomorrow at 12:00". Well, it scared the s*** out of me. I was sure the grim reaper was coming. At exactly 12:00 by the clock in our living room, the door bell to the front door rang. I was so terrified I made my mom answer the door while I hid. At the front door was my best friend who had moved to another state after both his parents died the year before.

When I was about 20 yrs old I had a dream where I was in an apartment in New York with some other people sitting in a circle talking about life. I realized I was dreaming and told the other people that. They said they were all dreaming too. They were all in their own beds in different parts of the world and they said they transported to this apartment often. They inivited me to come as often as I wanted but, I have not been able to return, so far.

When I was in my 30's I was dreaming that a dog (german shephard) was chasing me. He knocked me down and bit me. I was so scared and in pain. I then realized I was dreaming and decided I would chase the dog and I would bite him. It was very rewarding!

Actually it was about right now a year ago (exam week). Havn't had one in months though, but then again I pretty much quit, trying to get back into it again.
