Did you use any technique in perticular to achieve this LD? |
|
Ive been here about 4 weeks (I think) and my dream recall has rapidly shot up, before I would be lucky to remember anything about dreaming from the night before, now I remember at least 2 dreams a night (or 1 really long one). It feels like I have missed out on so much in my dreams before. Also after my first 2 weeks I had my first lucid dream, and I hope to have my second soon. |

I can't say I really know anything about what you're talkinga bout , but I said plausible because of that incredibly cool blind spot trick .

LDs: approx. 51
Why sleep when you can dream?
Nice to hear someone happy about the progress theyve made in a month instead of venting thier frustration at not having many LD's. With that attitude Im sure youll be a regular LD'er soon. |

I wish I could have had an LD in my first two weeks, I may not have quit trying for the next 4 months. |

I think that being in tune with one's dreams, keeping a dream jurnal, paying attention and fostering an attitude that dreams are not just trivial, helps one to attain LD's. Any natural ability will remain unrealized if an attempt is not made to exercise them. Naturally some are born with innate ability while others have to work very hard to achive the same results. Any skill has to be worked on to improve and what works for one may be totally inadequate for another. |

thats cool gameover, maybe I will experience the same sort of thing, that would be great. Have you had many LD's since your hour long LD? |
|
Yes. Many. Within 2 weeks...meaning less than 2 weeks...after that LD, I had one LD a day for over a week. Since then Ive become a regular lucid dreamer. I can induce one with almost %100 success rate with WBTB, but have yet to master the DILD. I do get at least one DILD a month, but they're usually not as intense as the WBTB LD's. |

I've had 7 LD's since the 9th of November when I found this site. None of them have been very long, or at least they didn't seem to be very long. I'm not keeping a nightly dream journal, mostly because I can usually remember one to two dreams per night without it, so I didn't see the point. I thought that was pretty normal for most people, but maybe not. I also am strange in that I don't usually do any of the methods, it just happens. However before I go to sleep, I firmly tell myself that I will have an LD tonight and that I will stay calm, cool and collected and I will remember to do a reality check, and I will recall the dream when I awake. It seems to work well for me. I've attempted to do a few WILD's, but I can't seem to do it because if I become completely awake during the night it will take me a good hour to hour and a half to go back to sleep. I've counted to 300-400 a couple of times before giving up on a WILD and just allowing my mind to wander to go to sleep. WBTB seem to work pretty good. I just drink a extra cup of water before bed to make myself have to get up around 3am and then when I go back to sleep I think about LD's I've had in the past and I can usually LD. |
|
I would probably have the most success with either DILD or WBTB methods, WBTB is the easiest I've heard. Does it matter what time you wake up again after you go to sleep to attempt WBTB, I know you have to go through a certain amount of REM periods. |
