/* I suppose this is sort of a sticky/common question for everyone. */

So the question is when you wake up from a nightmare, or a dream that discomforts you or worries you. How do you cope?

#1:
e.g. You wake up from a nightmare where you have to do something violent to a family member, against your will. After you wake up, you take some deep breathes, go into the kitchen and make some tea. Thus, enjoying the warmth and slowly breathing, calming down your system eventually.
#2:
e.g. You have a dream about a dog you previously owned that had to be put down, your happy in the dream. Playing frisbee, wrestling, or throwing the ball. When you wake up you remember that the dog had to be put down. You feel sad that you had to wake up from such a pleasant dream, and that it seemed so real but wasnt. You slide closer to your spouse or whomever your with and wrap an arm around them, the warmth of their body and their presence comforts you.

Those are just some examples, I just had a dream in which I was supposed to kill my brother to get something. The idea was that once you killed em they would just come back anyway so why not? Except I didnt think that was true so I couldn't go through with it, even though I tried with random, not powerful enough guns. At the end of the dream I compensated by taking a serrated blade and stabbing my brother's leg continuously while sobbing... I had woken up shaken and just taken back by the expierence. I just sat in a half-numb silence for awhile. Then I spoke with my brother and watched Hot Shots : Part Deux and didn't really pay much mind to it.

Anyway! The question is : What calms you after a nightmare, bad dream, or evil spirits in astral projection/OOBE?

Sincerely,
Ezekiel

P.S. Doesnt have to be just a dream, can be life in general.
