      Get scared in a LD?

I never even had a LD, but I'm just curious...
I know you could get scared of something like a monster or something.

But what I mean is like, if a door behind you just slams and you dindt expect it, would you, like in the real world, jump up becouse the sound scared you?

This is kinda hard to explain for me, my english isnt that good

Actually, your English sounds quite good!

Anyway, just because you may be aware you're dreaming, doesn't mean you can't get scared. I sometimes have nightmares that are lucid, and I'll get so freaked out that I have to wake myself up. Being lucid and actually being able to control your dreams are two different things.

For me, becoming lucid is just a part of my dreaming - I'm almost always aware that I'm dreaming. It's the controlling part that I sometimes have difficulty with. Like sometimes I'll want to fly, but I just can't get off the ground high enough - so I have to tell myself, "this is MY dream, and I can do whatever I want in it, and nothing is holding me back", then I'll be able to do it fine. It's like I have to overcome my own barriers.

I was in one the other day where at one point I almost got scared, but I decided if I got scared the dream would only become worse, so I fought off some baddies and went inside, and I knew there was going to be a monster around a door, and sure enough he jumped out, but I was prepared for it, so I attacked him, but then I had a false awakening, and I knew I was still sleeping, but I was afraid it was going to be another bad dream so I thought about waking my self up, then I my door open and close, and I didnt know wether it was a onster, or a good person, but I woke up before it happened.

So, in conclusion, yes, it is possible to have a scary dream, its not scary for the same reasons though.

Yes, your English is very good. To answer your question I'm not sure. I'm not sure about one's real-life body jumping up in real-Life. I can tell you something from experience though. The other day I had a lucid dream where I was in my room. I walked out of my room and into the kitchen. The whole dream world was very dark and I tried willing the lights on, but I'm not so good with dream control yet. I was standing there and I felt overcome with an overwhelming sense of lonliness. I went back into my room and felt better (I guess that says something about how I feel about my room). So that was pretty scary to me.

No, this shouldn't be possible. Your body is literally paralyzed while you sleep, presumably to keep you from acting out your dreams. This would prevent you from "jumping" in your sleep, although you still maintain control over your breathing and eye movement while you sleep, so an observer might notice a sudden change in your breathing or see your eye lids twitch, possibly.

You may wake up and sometimes it's possible to move slightly while you are asleep (some people dont have full SP). AFAIK sudden surprises dont make you jump you just feel like wtf? or you simply black out..
