      Nightmares & chemical weekends

When i was younger i was right into trying everything once, this could be a problem at times because of an addictive personality.

A few things i grew very fond of were ecstasy, mdma, and ketamine. One thing i noticed was that after heavy weekends of chemically influenced 48 hour clubbing sessions was that i suffered intense nightmares for up upto 2-3 weeks afterwards. (when i eventualy got to sleep) (not lucid)

I've moved away from all that now, but i never worked out how such chemicals could mess with my dreams ??

can anyone shed any light or relate?

When you take drugs they mess up with your REM periods when you sleep. So your mind would go into "REM Rebound" When yoru REM is forced on you to survive, ti can be very scary.
