Information you might wanna know......DV peepz read

Hey all its me spirit again...well i finished reading "Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming" by Stephen Leberge, its an amazing book...And some new things i found out is....

1.....We wake up about 10 to 15 times each night

2.....The speed of our eye movement in our dreams is the same as in waking life...

3....Dream Time is (if not right on) but super damn near close to Waking reality time...so if you feel you had a 45min LD you more then likely did..

Im not saying all this to say it, it states it in his book and i know alot of you DV people hae heard of S.L. b4 and that book...its amazing, i recommend it to everyone who is interesting in LDing...

Yes it is the best lucid dreaming book out there IMO. It is so often used in this forum it has an acronym --> EWOLD.

I may have missed something but I don't believe this is true. If you could point out where it says this I would be thankful
From what I understand REM does not last that long. But it is our perception of time that may make it seem as if it were a half an hour or more.

Hey Howe - I think what Spiritwolf is referring to are the tests LaBerge conducted in which he instructed subjects to look over to one side for a particular interval of time (while lucid). He would then track their eye movement once the oneironaut signaled they were lucid and beginning the experiment.

This is true that the time was very close - however, there are instances (many) in which you may be tricked into believeing that you spend hours or even days in a lucid dream due to your minds perception in recalling the dream. For example, in movies you may switch from one scene to the next and conclude that a significant amount of time has passed within the plot of the movie. However, in "real time", the scene switch only took a second. Your mind or perception filled in the blanks.

REM periods, from what I understand, can only reach up to about 40 mins to one hour at most. But I'm not exactly sure on that.
