Yelled in my dream, spoke in real life. Anyone else?

Last night I was having a non-ld and i kept trying to yell at this guy who was breaking in to my house. Well i would try to form words and they wouldn't come out, in the dream it felt like my mouth was stuck closed. I finally was able to yell in the dream. Well anyway, my wife in the morning said, "Were you trying to LD last night? You kept trying to talk but it would come out all muffled!"

I have talked in my sleep since I was a kid, but this is the first time I remember it corresponding to a dream I could remember -- maybe just because my recall has been getting better.

I just thought it was funny because I read in a thread yesterday to not worry about speaking in real life what you are saying in your dream.

Well now I know the feeling of what it feels like to try to move your real mouth rather than your dream mouth, so in my next lucid when I am telling a hollywood actress what to do my wife won't slap me in the morning

This is a common experience for me. It started when I was very young and having a recurring nightmare. I would scream out for help and find, frustratingly and terrifyingly, that my voice could barely be heard, and sounded like mumbling. Later on in life I realized that this was actually me using my real mouth and hearing the result in my dream. I'm not sure what causes this...I would be interested to see if it's possible to distinguish between dream and real mouth when in a dream, and perhaps actually communicate with someone near your waking body, and then be able to switch back to your dream voice. Something to experiment with, maybe.

I just asked my wife about it. It was early in the morning so she was already up. She said it was like I was screaming with my mouth closed. Which is what it felt like in the dream. I was trying to yell but nothing was coming out. My brain got messed up and routed the signals to the wrong place!

I have had dreams in which I was singing, and have woken myself up murmuring in an unmelodic fashion.

This happens to me all of the time, at least 3-4 times a month.
It normally happens just as I am waking up from a full nights sleep.
The last time it happened I was in bed with my G/F and I woke up to catch myself calling her a sexy american,
the thing is we are both english and the only sexy american was the one I was dreaming about.
My G/F took it in good grace though luckily.

I have these all the time. I'll be talking to someone in my dream and wake up because I'm talking really loud as if in real life. I don't think I've ever woken up screaming though.
