      I am back! ^__^ LD's 2 nights in a row.. how come? :)

I was gone on a ski-ing trip for a few days, just came back To bad the weather got so incredably crappy we had to go home 2 days earlyer... Ah well. the bright side is, that after a long day on the slopes snowboarding, I had some great LD's.

The 2 days I snowboarded both gave me a Night with LD's ^___^ I never had 2 nights right after each other with an LD... I wonder how it comes... so the question is:

What caused me to have more LD's?

      Some possible factors:

I was Dead Tired. I was really exausted, my condition isn't that good, and after a day of snowboarding I went to bed at 10, I could hardly walk around i the evening.

I read books before I went to bed. I normally don't really read, but I just though about that when you read, you picture all the places and people in your mind, so maybe reading makes your imagination better?

I allso slept in a crappy bed, so I did woke up every now and then, maybe that triggerd the LD's. And the better-then-average dreamrecall.

Allso, I slept with my pajama on (it was a bit cold sometimes). I heard that clothes might allso affect your chances of LD's...

And last, but not least: I didn't mastrubate for some time. Perhaps that allso had some effects? My dreams were more erotic then ever, so it does have an effect on that it seems ^__^

Oh, and before I forget, I allso listend to some music with my mp3 player for a few minutes, in the dark right before I really went to sleep. Maybe the music keeps your mind active, but your body can relax... or.. something..

To bad I do think it's especially the phisical exaustion, and I don't to sport, So I guess I will not be having 2 LD"s in 2 nights that often : (

Anyhow, it's good to be back! ^___^

That's an interesting thought; I've never considered it like that before. I do like to listen to music before I go to sleep sometimes. I'll have to see if that has any effect for me.

Anyway, glad you're back and had good LDs!

Although most of the factors you listed make sense, 'waking up a lot' is the most scientific one.
Being tired' may also have been an important variable. I often get lucid when i'm dead tired, especially when i have to wake up early next morning.

I'd give waking up a lot the biggest chance If I were you.

But that's just because last night I woke up 3 times, and had 3 LD's in a row. (in 1 night)
I'd give reading the smallest chance though, They would increase the clarity or vividness of a dream, but would (in my mind) not really affect the frequency of lucid dreaming.

      And the music: Might be.
I've listened for techno for a couple of hours and somehow It helped me lucid dream .
