I don't know about anyone else but it is normal for me. It doesn't happen often but I do sometimes have 'sensory' dreams where I feel pain (and nice sensations too at times). It'll be interesting to hear more from others.

I can only recall 1 dream with any pain. But I generally dont have any violent dreams.

Why sleep when you can dream?

Like many others have stated in previous threads, When ever there is pain, it doesn't feel like pain.

Its more Like a tingle letting you know that there is pain.

(Oh, And Just now I remember a Dream when iw as younger I had dislodged something near my waist somehow ( Dream-wise) and It was very sore, Painfully, but thats the closest Ive come to "pain.")

Sometimes i feel a pain, but it is much softer than the real pain... And it is very easy to focus your attention away from it - if you stop perceiving it for just a split second it will go away...

I have felt pain in a dream once. It is created by fear. If you don't fear the pain, then you are not going to feel it.

Last night when I went to bed, I had a really bad headache. It was one of those that comes in waves and pulses for a few seconds, every couple of minutes. In my dream, I had the same headache. I could feel it just as I could in waking life (I was not lucid, but I realized this upon waking.) Other than this I don't ever remember having pain this vivid and realistic in dreams.

I have had pain in dreams too. The thing about dream pain is that it doesn't normally last. Even the worse pain isn't that bad when you start to forget it before you even feel it.

I once had a dream where I jammed my thumb in a car door. The shock of it woke me up straight away but the strange thing is I could still feel it for a few moments after sitting up. As Ev said though it felt “softer”.

For some reason, I can't remember a single dream in which I've felt pain, even when something happened that should have hurt badly. If I have ever felt pain, it must have been extremely mild. But it does appear that pain in dreams is completely possible; I don't see why it shouldn't be.

Don't worry, it's completely normal. Lots of people feel pain in dreams, especially, I've found, if people are stressed or anxious in real life.
