      More confidence

Since I had my first (and only) lucid dream (in which I overcome a nightmare for the first time also) my confidence level has risen dramatically. All my life I dreamt of flying, but my flying has always been slow and at very low levels. This is the first time that I fly so high and so fast. I had no fears of being so high, and I had no problem controling my speed. It was fantastic!

Mind you that I didn't realize I was dreaming while I was flying. I can't understand why I could fly so well without being lucid. It might be that this first lucid experience reached me on a subconscious level and changed my preception.

Not only this, but I am working on WILD which scared me when I first read about it (ringing, OOBE, and paralysis). Now, and after joinging this group I have gained so much inner strength. I have been trying to do WILD for the past few days without the slightest fear. In fact, I get very excited when I feel my body starting to slow down to paralysis. So excited that I wake up.

I don't understand why I'm not afraid any more, but it sure feels much better being this way.

Simple answer, you have grown with your experience and are no longer the person you were. :bravo:

I found that when I had my first proper lucid dream i gained confidence in everyday life and became more aware of things around me. I also gained a little more intelligence

Yes, LD are a very good thing. I've noticed increased memory recall - now I can play music in my mind seriously

      How about this:
Let's create a Lucid dreaming cult
      And rule dream world
Maybe put it in an adventure section?

Actually that is how I got introduced to lucid dreaming. Some doctors try it with young kids to overcome nightmares too.

The thing is that this was only one experience in my case, but the impact was significant. I can only imagine what it's like for people who have done this for a while.

You are right! I would have not felt I would have been able to do lucid dreaming has it not been for you, being my age. I would have felt that only our younger and more energetic frieds would have the gift.

      Thanks!

Seeker, I asked you a question in one of the threads, but you might have missed it. So here it goes again. Why are you interested in doing WILD while you already lucid dream. Are you trying to increase your lucid chances or are you going after OOBE?

Lucid dreaming has also given me some confidence, and made me look forward to the dream world. Mostly it has let me discover a lot about myself, and the power of the mind. It is amazing how spiritual of an experience it can be. I have had 3 lucid dreams since I joined this forum, two of them were not very vivid, although I did more in them, and the third one, which I was able to achieve through WILD, was so vivid it was incredible. I was literally there. I didn't do much in it, but embrace the reality of it, and focus on everything I was feeling. It was really a great moment of self-discovery.

For me, I find myself being more impatient with people who are ignorant or insecure. It's like I forgot how to tolerate stupidity and things/people who are boring.

I need to work on that still....... being patient and tolerant. I had a HUGE life lesson on how to be tolerant and I suffered with that lesson for many years (thank goodness it's over) HOWEVER, now that Im lucid I find my impatience growing again as I become more confident and intelligent and AWARE!!!

Please elaborate on that question. Specifically what do you mean (cause I can give you an answer that will go on forever).

It is a goood thing. I felt you made a good point about becoming more aware. I guess what I meant by how aware are we, is that it is somthing you should constantly evaluate yourself on.
But please do. If you have thoughts on awareness - Share it.
I hope I did not fall into your list of ignorant & boring peaple.

No of course not!! No one on this board is... we are all AWARE. It's amazing. I wish I could meet more people like this in my social cirlce. Sure, I have a couple of friends who are "aware" but only one that is really "aware" the other is still learning.

What I meant by being aware is that knowing that other realities exist. That we as humans can grow and be enlightened by our other realities. That the things people worry and measure themselves by in the physical are so unimportant. That we are just souls covered in skin.... want to be beautiful on the outside, beautify yourself on the inside and no one will resist you. You are measured by your character and inner strength, your spirituality and your soul not by your bank account.

Oh, there so much more............if people were only more aware... there is more out there to discover (big sign).

Blissful, I think I love you...

That's exactly how I feel about the world, I feel a lot more but that is the basics. I just hate the fact that we live in a society that is focused on all the wrong things. Thus, I know that I will not get anywhere in this life by doing what he have been taught to do, living the way we have been fed since we were born. They do not know the path, the meaning of life, yet they teach us what it is. It is just illogical. Anyway, I know that true enlightenment or fullfillment comes from the inside, it is spiritual and thus the means are spiritual as well, and not any product advertised in the T.V. I feel what they teach us leads us away from whatever path we are meant to follow, if there is any at all.....

I had my first lucid dream when i was 9 years old. I didn't know what it was at the time. But i have to admit that my confience has also increased since i got into lucid dreaming. I could care less what people think about me now, because i know i can always go to my dreams.
