      Questions about Dream Recall

      Hey everyone.
I have a few questions regarding dream recall:

1)I know you dream every night, but do you also dream every time you're in REM sleep?

Also, I've always had what I considered really good dream recall abilities. But upon reading all the information on the main page, I saw that it was recommended that you be able to recall several dreams from every night. Now, I rarely ever recall more than one dream, but the one I do recall is more often than not very vivid. For instance, when I woke up this morning I wrote out a dream I had had just before waking up, and it took me almost two pages to write out.

I'm not really even sure what my question is there. I guess I was just sort of wondering if thats going to be a problem. I mean, I realize its sort of gamble. If I don't LD on that one dream, then I'll probably never remember it happened. But I think the dream I remember occurs during the last REM stage before I wake up, and I know that that one is the longest.

Anyways, I don't know where I'm going with that. I just thought I'd ask you guys what you thought about it. Thanks for any input.

If your dream recall starts to slip, sometimes the best thing to do is just take a break. Don't try specifically to recall your dreams, just dream. Stress could also be causing this, so you might want to consider meditation.
One way to remember dreams is this: as soon as you wake up, do not think of anything else and DO NOT move at all. As soon as you move, the dream will slip away. Just lie there and replay the dream in your head, before doing anything else.
      Hope this helps
