      Always Deaf in Dreams?

Recently when looking into my dreams, I have realised that I don't really seem to hear things in my dreams. I seem to rather think i'm hearing.
For example, when someone talks to me, I don't remember it feeling like it's coming through my ears, it's like I just know what they're saying. Like telepathy.
Sight is different, it actually seems like i'm looking through my eyes at something, but not when hearing, it doesn't feel like it's coming through my ears.

Is this the same for anyone else? Maybe when I next get lucid I'll try improving my hearing.

      yeah I'm like that sometimes

but then there are times when someone's mouth is clearly moving, and clear, loud sounds are coming from it (from my perspective)

I think the more vivid a dream is, the more I sense that I'm 'hearing' stuff, and the deaf telepathy as you described happens in my more vague dreams

That's one of the differences between the memory of a normal dream and a lucid dream for me.

I don't experience the sense of touch in normal dreams. I know I've touched something, and I know what it felt like, but... the message wasn't being sent to my brain by my hands, my brain just made it up.

Which is of course, exactly what is happening.

In the second lucid dream I had, I felt the carpet under my feet, and if felt like the mesasge WAS coming from my feet.

Interesting, it sounds like it's just a lack of vividness, and by concentrating in an LD, I should be able to bring proper hearing to me (and other senses).
Now if I could only get lucid again
