      MILD and Autosuggestion

Are MILD and autosuggestion the same thing? I've read all the tutorials on them, and they seem surprisingly similar... They both seem to use the other's technique. So, in anyone's experience, has one ever been better than the other, when used in isolation?

      In MILD you:

      a. Normally have to wake up (WBTB) during the night

      b. You tell your self that you can and WILL do it

You don't tell yourself your gonna do it, you just expect it to happen.

When MILD works for me it carries a critical faculty into a dream, so that in the dream I question what's happening and deduce its a dream.

With autosuggestion you just kind of pop into lucidity without a trigger from the specific dream.

I believe that when you do MILD, the words you are saying should not be repeated mindlessly like a mantra, they should be words that make you think. This thinking hopefully then gets carried into the dream
