Dieing in a dream

whats this thing about it being bad to die in a dream is it a myth or true? i think its a myth cause i have been killed (stabbed in the back with a hook) and then the dream just switched to something else so i think its false what do you guys think?

I have died a few times. Once, I actually watched my body from a third person perspective as it smashed into the ground. I think it's just as likely as dying while watching a horror flick; improbable, but given the appropriate condition of health, possible.

Dieing in a dream isn't bad. The only problem is that it usually causes a surge of excitement large enought o wake you. I suppose if you died in a dream, you'd do what you think would happen when you died in a dream... like go to dream heaven or something!

There have been a few topics about this - you should do a search if you want to see what others have said about this subject. Firstly, it's obviously a myth that if you die in a dream, you die in real life - or how would people be talking about it? I've had several dreams that I've "died" in a dream. Usually, I attain a low level of lucidity when this happens, because I automatically think that I'm invincible and can't possibly die in real life (naive, I know - but it's proven to be a good dreamsign for me).
