Less need for sleep after dream- recall?

I have noticed that after I began to work with dream- recall, I have a less need for sleep. Accidental or a connection?
( I stay up 1,5 hours earlier now than 1 month ago ).

After some kick ass dreams, or lucid dreams, it feels like i have gotten 2 times the amount of sleep.

I have unfortunatly have the opposite effect. When I have a very active night of dreaming (especially Lucid dreaming) I feel Like my mind has never gotten a break. Leading me to feel somewhat fatigued the next day.
      Anyone have this problem?
