Ever have a hard time getting over asingle dream?

Over in the LD experiences section, I posted an LD experience I had earlier in the week:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28681

My question for all of you is, am I alone on this or have any of you had ONE dream affect you where you're constantly thinking about it for days? Usually I get over it within a few hours of waking and it becomes almost a forgotten memory. Its feelings or emotions it caused only last the first few moments of the morning at most. For some reason, this dream has left a certain feeling behind that I can't quite describe.

All of a sudden, music sounds different, I view people differently -- I pretty much have a different outlook on life now. Sorry ..... I know it sounds confusing, but I don't know how to quite describe it. It's almost like I have a lucid waking life now.

btw - in case you're wondering, I'm not depressed. I'm happily married and I absolutely love my son. I can't quite figure it out.

i've had a few dreams that are constantly on my mind for a day or two, but nothing as significant as what you are describing sounds. i would consider it a blessing--in my opinion, dreams are no less important than "real life" events, and if something is affecting you in a very profound way, it's probably something extra significant.

Yes, I agree. I've only had a handful of dreams that keep me thinking throughout the day - and I always have that feeling in the back of my mind that there must be a reason I'm dwelling on it.

I had a non-lucid dream that i was in a class, and i was called up to the office, which later turned out to be the room of my subconcious. I have tried very hard to get back there ever since, and for a long time, i obsessed over this mysterious room. It wasn't lifechanging, it just changed my goals of lucid dreaming considerably.

I've had numerous dreams like that. It's mind expanding, in some ways. In some ways, it is a bit annoying to worry about a dream. I've had those, definately.

I never really keep thinking about a dream... my dreams are never that emotional.
