      Brainwave Mind Voyages

Has anyone tried the Brainwave Mind Voyages CDs? They seem as if they would work. I have the astral trance album but I haven't tried it yet. I'm looking forward to that experience.

      Hey Unit,

I personally haven't tried the CD's, but could you elaborate a bit more on what they sound like and why you think they should work?

Some CD's contain sound frequencies that can theoretically alter your mind's brainwaves and therefore help with dreamstages and lucidity. However, there are lots of crap knockoffs out there as well that are simply amateur musical soundtracks with cheesy ambiance sounds in the background - more for relaxation rather than sleep altering.

It's like you said; it contains tracks with a person who guides you through certain steps with certain frequencies playing. I got my hands on the album and decided to hear what it sounded like last night. I wasn't accepting anything while listening to it awake. Within an hour of hearing it, I felt very relaxed. Relaxed enough where I could just sink into my chair. I was reading some text on the computer, and 30 minutes later I felt very tired to the point where I couldn't read it. Let me remind you, this occurred between 8 and 9:30pm; I am never tired that early. I eventually couldn't take it anymore and just went to sleep. The rest that happens after that is weird and I don't think has anything to do with the CD. I think I was just imagining things. Don't get me wrong here, I've heard those cheesy soundtracks with the crappy ambience sounds in the background. This CD didn't sound like it at all.
