      Getting sick

I've been sick the past week or so and with the headaches and stomach pains (but no puking), I have sort of stopped RCs unintentionally and took a break from my dream journal.

However I don't know if this has ever happened to anybody else. When you get sick and you wake up multiple times during the night (which happens to everybody), do you sometimes hallucinate or dream in your room? I know this sounds weird so i'll try and explain this as best as I can.

I'm in bed, and even though I know I've woken up, I was seeing things and just going along with them in a dizzy state still while sitting in my bed and knowing it. The dizzy state due to being sick I'm assuming. However even though I knew it wasn't real, the fact that I was dizzy sort of cancelled out the knowing portion for me to take over.

I'll try one more time to explain this with an experience. (This is not the one that happened last night. I can't remember what last night's was about).

I fell asleep one night (a LONG time ago) and woke up in the middle of the night. I felt like crap even though I had already felt like that to begin with and I sat up in my bed. After a while of frustation of not falling asleep, my eyesight which was on the bed cover in front of me changed. I was on the bed in front micosized hopping from these imaginary pillars that I was on to another while trying to outrun someone or something.
At the same time, I was viewing myself seeing my bed in front of me with nothing there AND viewing myself jumping across these imaginary pillars that were (not) right in front of me.

I don't know whether or not this is some sort of uncontrollable OBE or WILD (I did not know about LDing way back then) so I don't know if this topic can apply to this board.

So I guess the whole point of this topic is the question, does getting sick partly help induce a LD?
Wait!! .......Am I dreaming right now?
      LDs: 8
Most LDs in one night: 3

It's time for a new beginning...

I'm a lucid dreamer for a while but I never had such an experience myself. When I get ill I loose my ability to control dreams. and it is quite frustrating because you wake up and you remember all those messy dreams about nothing.

If you are already a lucid dreamer, I think that this kind of thing could happen to you. All my lucid dreams are more like nightmare or chaos (random hallucinations) when I'm ill.
But I wouldn't say that being sick induces lucid dreaming.

Weird things can happen like this when you're sick. Especially if you're taking any medications, or have a fever at all. While your body's trying to fight the illness, your unconscious mind comes up with some wacky images. I've experienced the same thing.

I can't give you any feedback about the possible OBE, because I've never experienced one (and I'm not entirely convinced they even exist). But if you were sick at the time, I'd bet money you were just trippin' out.
