I got a book with these things, there are some tricks to doing it - one of the easiest is this:
[list]1) Place the image in front of you, holding it up close to your face, right at the tip of your nose. At this point you shouldn't be able to see anything but a blur.
2) Slowly pull the image away from your face, DO NOT look at the page or try to figure it out - keep your eyes locked, kind of as you would when you're zoned out or staring into space.
3) As the page gets further from your face, it will become harder NOT to focus on the page. At some point, however, you'll start to "see" something as if it's floating OFF the page (like right over it).[list]
If you're eyes make the "adjustment", you'll find yourself looking at the hidden 3D picture!
Method #2:
[list]1) Focus your eyes on something that's about 3 feet or so away from you. Some object on a table or something.
2) Once you got yourself locked on to that object, slip the stereo image about halfway between you and the object on the table WITHOUT looking directly at what's on the page.
3) Try to imagine that the image is not there or transparent, keeping your eyes focused BEHIND the image.[list]
After a few seconds your eyes might start playing tricks on you and the 3D image will reveal itself.
Good Luck!
