      Need help

      yeah EXACTLY what the title says...

      I was woundering if there is a way to start dreaming again...
      Becouse when i was 8 and younger i had dreams like every night.
      But all the sudenly poff nothing. I stoped dreaming..
      There is the OCATIONAL dream but that is like 1 dream every 3 years :S

      I also know i sleep ALOT so i think that might have something to do with it...
      Becouse there have been times i have sleept 19 hours out of 24...
      I was awake for 4 hours i whent to sleep for 9 hours woke up was awake for 1 hour then when back to sleep.

      I also belive i spend very little time in REM mode while sleeping.
      But i have no way of proving it (that i know of).

      So any suggestions please?

      Likely you spend just as much time in the REM cycles. One of the side effects of oversleeping is a lack of dream recall (Believe me, I know. I've done the whole 19/24 hours of sleep thing, too.). It really messes with your recall because the REM cycles in later sleep get shallower and shorter. As you leave REM cycles, the brain erases the short-term memory from the dreams (It happens to everybody). Most people still have some recall because the short-term memory wipe isn't complete, leaving some bits hanging out that let you piece together the dream. But that's because most people actually undersleep, they usually get one or two hours less than they need. When you sleep in on a Saturday, your dream recall gets really cruddy, especially if you wake up a bit, then go back to sleep several times. The more often you bounce in and out of the shallow, late sleep REM cycles, the less likely that you'll remember a dream.

      I'd suggest that you try waking up after five hours of sleep. Set your alarm clock to get you up then. When you wake up, don't move or get up, even to go to the bathroom. First, just try to remember absolutely any dream you had. You might not be able to remember anything, perhaps just some strong feelings or impressions, maybe a smell or color. Write it all down on a notepad, then get up and go to the bathroom if you need, then go back to bed. If you couldn't remember anything, try setting the alarm clock for four and a half hours after you go to sleep. If you've still got nothing, go to five and a half. Keep adjusting it thirty minutes or so either way until you start to remember things. Chances are, you'll remember something the first time, after five hours. That's when most people experience REM cycles, so chances are you'll interrupt one and be able to recall the dream because your mind hasn't erased the short term memory yet.
      After that, start keeping a Dream Journal (Check the Tutorial section for more info on those). Especially remember to write in your Dream Journal BEFORE getting out of bed. Moving around, even to go to the bathroom, can interfere heavily with your dream recall.

      Ok, that sounds good ^^

      maybe that explains why i have bad short tearm memory when im awake aswell

      But thnx for the advice il try it when i have time. Yes i need to have time to go to sleep and wake up :S

      I might have to buy 2 more alarms as well since last time i used 2 alarms i only woke up by them 60% of the time o.O

      But i will try ^^ thnx again
