      Nightmares (or lack there of)

I can remember probably 3 nightmares from my entire life. As far back as i can remember ive been able to recall dreams almost every night, so it isnt a matter of having nightmares then forgetting them. Is this weird? I'm never scared in dreams. No one else seems to not have nightmares.

Ive had dreams where i am very ive been afraid that people will leave without me or that ive been looking for things. But those are more of a nervous feeling. An agitated type feel. Im never afraid in dreams.

Maybe I'm just a macho stud who fears nothing.

      Anyone else like this?

I'm pretty much like this too. I had some nightmares when I was little, but even then not many, and I haven't really had any real nightmares at all since I was about five or six. There have been dreams where I feel anger, or stress, or even mild fear, but I haven't had a full-fledged nightmare in years. I think it is just luck, cause like everyone seems to have them, but I don't. Well, I'm not complaining...

      Haha yeah neither am I.

I'm a christian and i used to pray every night that god would prevent me from having nightmares. I prayed that he would give me good dreams consistently every night. Im pretty sure this has had an affect on my dreaming. It may have also been why i had such good recall, just the fact that i talked about dreams directly before going to sleep.

I'm exactly the same. I can't recall having any nightmares since I was very young. I do have plenty of dreams in which I am in life threatening situations and such, but I'm never scared or stressed. In fact, I rather enjoy most of those dreams.

I don't think anything is wrong with this at all. Nightmares, when they have any deeper meaning, are usually caused by some negative external factor, like too much stress for instance. Therefore I would say not having any is more likely to be a good thing than something bad.

Also, I should point out that I'm an atheist and I have never prayed for good dreams in my life.
      A dream
is a reality that others cannot see.
      Reality
is a dream you share with others.

I don't have nightmares, but i have many dreams where alarming things happen. I remember i walked into a bathroom while lucid the other day, and my dad was in a wheelchair hooked up to all kinds of metal and he tried to attack me. My dad is healthy in real life and i doubt he would attack me... anyways, I was more surprised than scared and went on with my dream.

P.S. car crashes in dreams can be incredible

Yeah i think that a lot of the dreams i have that are life threatening situations are often my most memorable/enjoyable dreams. Its like being the main character of an action movie.

      I hate you all!!!

      Just kidding.

The majority of my dreams have been nightmares, right up until maybe 3 or 4 years ago. They dwindled away to almost nothing after openly dealing with a tramatic issue that I suffered way back when I was about 4 or 5.

Real nightmares are few and far between now. I still have disturbing and sometimes frightening dreams, but they do not classify as nightmares. They are nothing compared to what I used to dream.

Guess you all are lucky to not suffer such things.

I'm just like that. I can't remember the last time I had a real nightmare. The closest thing to being scared in a dream recently was when i had blown up this corvette with a friend of mine behind our school and I got a phone call from my principle. I was sooo nervous...but the reason I had this dream was that for the end of the school year we celebrated by lighting the portopotty on fire and pulling the fire alarm I was still scared we'd get caught
When I was little though I had chronic nightmares real bad. all the time I would wake up hysterical. But now, like you said, the 'scary' dreams are rather enjoyable. Especially now that I've been learning about dreaming
