      When dreaming

      Is it normal for someone like myself to not truly experience a dream (as in like you see it as it happens) until you achieve an LD?

      Is there anything particular about yourself in which you can't experience dreams? If there isn't, then you just have to put the effort in. You actually can have a LD that you don't remember. Just because your lucid doesn't mean it will be vivid. So, no, it's normally the other way. Normal dreams, then LD.
