Anyone sometimes lose ability to imagine or fantasize??

Every now and then while fantasizing myself as some sports legend or just something in general day dreaming i lose the ability to create my own subconscious pictures and videos......like if im imagening poeople they will distort or something and the more i try to make them right the worser the problem gets. Some days i just can't even do it cos its like my mind is taking over if u know wat i mean anyway just thought someone else knows what im talkin about

I know what you mean!! Sometimes it is just darkness. I wonder if some kind of intense mental effort might help stimulate it? Something like trying to work out logic problems.

Hey! That happened to me a few days ago, I just couldnt... Think, or visualize anything that I had in my head. I think it was due to lack of sleep, though. I've been sick lately. Becuase of RedStarSoldier

This happens sometimes when im trying too hard to WILD, or just daydreaming...

Sometimes while I'm daydreaming or something and maybe I'm flying... I can't turn one way or something... I usually either have to just get my hands into a steering wheel position and steer the way I want to go to make myself move... very sad.. or bring my hand into the daydream and move things around with my hand rather than my mind... its weird.

Humm I was gunna ask almost this same question. I found the other night when I was trying to relax, I was trying to visualize myself lying on a big white fluffy cloud. I can't seem to make the images hold... they are more like thoughts of what I want to feel, not like i am really there. When you all try to visualize yourself somewhere do you actually feel like you are there? Are the images crisp? Do they have detail? I find it hard to concentrate on one detail because the others start to slip... I dont know. Hope you feel better Naruto!

Can you guys actually do that? Visualize clear images in your mind? When I dream I see clear images like I'm actually at the location I'm dreaming about, but I can't do it while I'm awake. I wish I could though... On second thought if you can dream while awake there would be no need for lucid dreams. I think they are talking about hypnogogic imagery, those little flashed of scenery you get just before sleep. I've found than when trying to WILD that they all just run away and hide somewhere. I've spent hours with only the curtains of light moving across my eyelids to entertain me. Gets really frustrating!

I can visualize things pretty well, but sometimes they just distort things a bit. Like for example, someone's face is different or i combine two people into one, or something like that. I always have troubles when I try to imagine something exactly as it is...

yeh i know exactly wat u mean...and once it starts u have to stop and do something else........one of mine is things stretch..like peoples heads stretch out and stuff....

Wow! really? ummm. I just wonder if your just stretching your ego perhaps and that allows your characters to stretch. I tell ya no one would really know the full depth of dreams this is something thats so far beyond us its mind-boggling.

doesnt everyone daydream..fantasize..imagine ect....? i can do it just as easily with my eyes open or closed....if i get really stuk in a day dream in class or something i can almost watch mental videso until i regain concentration on something

I play out whole stories in my head with ease, but as I said before sometimes the physical details become a bit distorted or unclear....

dont u think its weirs how we can see out of our eyes and also in our head...yet people always ask what having 3 eyes is like..?
