inducing birth practice dreams

Hi, Anyone tried and had success inducing dreams about giving birth? Would like to practice in dreamworld before actual event to alleviate some of the fear during the actual event. Would be very interested in any comments/advice. Thanks.

Hello and welcome, I've not any experience with birth related matters but if you succeed in attaining control over a dream you can manipulate it anyway you desire. If your unable to become lucid at this point in time you could try to manipulate your dreams while still awake. Either by thinking about it before you go to sleep or thinking about it periodically throughout the day. If its on your mind enough you have a good chance and experiencing it in your dreams. You should know that dreaming about it and experiencing the actual event are going to be quite different. Your fear of the actual event may also turn the dream into a nightmare. Your fear will probably be lessened more by talking to existing mothers and mothers to be rather than relying on a dream.

Thanks for replying to my post. Should have provided more info in first post- this is my second child so I have a good idea of what birth entails. Hoping for a more positive experience this time round and have been using hynobirthing techniques to lessen the fear a bit. Was hoping that combining this with dream practice would be even more effective. Have managed to manipulate several dreams so I'm feeling quite confident that I should manage it. Interested if anyone has ever tried this to lead to a more positive birthing experience? Thanks
