How vivid are your nonlucid dreams?

How vivid are your non lucid dreams? Recently my non lucid dreams have been as vivid as real life. It is so cool...now that ive developed recall i can recall vividness a lot more. And they are so real. how about you guys?

Some dreams do feel like waking life, despite the strangeness of the situation...it almost feels like another world...

Yeah, some dreams feel real, but others...not so much. *purple elephant goes flying by* What in the name of....

Sometime they're vivid, and sometimes they're not. The dreams that are the most vivid are usually the ones that catch my attention. At times, they get vivid to the point where the sensation, in my opinion, surpasses the vividness of life itself.

I find that i can remember them more clearly sometimes then i can remember stuff ive done in real life

I had a dream a couple of days ago where someone gave me a handmade wooden katana, and was teaching me how to spar against three people. He taught me a technique for blocking a kick, which actually I realize would be practical. So it was clear enough to offer me something I can use in real life.

As recall develops you can experience a lot of different types and styles of dreams. At the most empty, I've had dreams of being in silent blackness. I've had dreams where there is one voice lecturing me about something. Dreams that are just conversation. Dreams that have minimal visual detail (mostly greyness and fuzziness) Dreams that are like Disney animation Dreams like videogames (2D & 3D sometimes in same dream) Pre-lucids and NDs that have very high reality (including sound, smell, touch) Recently I find that I awaken annoyed if I have a low res dream. Also for MILD, vivid dreams produce best results.

Have you ever had like 2-dimentional dreams, or black/white dreams with no color, or cartoon-like dreams? then it gets strangely vivid, almost as if you were in the T.V. screen...i guess we could call it "The Surreal Life"... [/b] Hmz, i do have different styles like you mentioned but they never intertwine or switch. Seems like a awesome experience though! Im gonna try and force my dream to switch to cartoon style, it seems like a nice experiment Annyway my normal dreams are just as vivid as the lucid ones. Maby when one's lucid he just tries to achieve his goals to much and concentrates less on the visuality? That would explain wy shouting "one more clarity with extra souce please" sometimes helps
