Can't wake up in Lucid Dream

Hi! My name is Rachel and I am 23 and I am new here. Just wanted to introduce myself and say I have been having lucid dreams since around the age of 9 or 10 (that is as far back as I can remember) I have had them on and off since then but just recently...within the past 5 years or so...I have improved in my skill. Being able to recognize when I am dreaming (by clues like my teeth falling out or not being able to read something or flying). Anyway....I have a problem sometimes where I realize I am dreaming and I want to wake up and I can't. Now I know for some people the opposite happens...where they realize they are dreaming and automatically wake up. For me, I am usually stuck. Sometimes I take advantage and explore and other times I panic and think..what if i never wake up!!! Usually I can if I can visualize my body in my bed...other times I try that and I slap myself and I jump and scream WAKE UP! And nothing happens...or I have false awakenings. Does anybody have any tips on how to get yourself to wake up...and does this happen to anyone else??? Also...another thing I have noticed just recently..within the past 6 months...sometimes my sign that I am dreaming is I feel VERY drunk.....falling all over, slurring my words..and knowing something isn't right with my body in my dream. Anyone else have this? I am so glad I found this board and thanks in advance!

well to wake up, try to close your eyes and tell you self "when I open my eyes i'll find myself in bed" or just close your eyes ...and open them
