      memories

I seem to get it mixed up all the time. The experiences I have in my dreams feel so real that sometimes I believe it really happened. Only after a while when I really truely think of the memory, I realize it never really happened

Sometimes I wonder how much of what I think happened is like that.

      Anyone else?

same here. it does get freaky, i can't imagine how it's going to be in college when i have tons of stuff happening at once... i might need to lay off of it in order to know which classes and tests i've taken and which ones i haven't.

I constantly search through my memory and seive out dreams. Usually I get 2-5 dream recalls a day. And it's all because I test memories for "reality". If something isnt possible, then its a dream...

I feel like my past dreams and reality merged to form a synergistic union.
I recall both experiences and sometimes It strikes me that thing that I thought occured is a really a dream...

PS there is an example from my childhood. I dont know if it was a cartoon or recurring dream.
I saw a pretty simple thing - 3 colored robots 6 stories high were walking along a city streets, looking for someone (supposedly me).
I remember hiding on the roof of some building and then in some apartment.
And it puzzled for a long time. was it a cartoon or actually a dream...

But it makes you realize how much of your life is spent dreaming. All those memories start to build up and they sometimes become part of you; i think.

yeah, but is it worth putting that strain on your social life? i was talking to this girl and i could of swore that we had the conversation before... i even said, "hey, why are we going over this again?" she didn't know what i was talking about. i can only imagine doing that on a larger scale and actually hurting someone.

      hehe thanks ev.

yikes, some sort of thing happened to me.

of course the other person had no idea what i was talking about.

and maybe you can attribute your dreams to those deja vu moments.

I can reflect on some level...

I have some childhood memories, but a lot of stuff I did in them was impossible...but I never ever really felt like they were dreams. That's when reality and dreamstate really seem to intertwine.

Same here, I noticed it when I was about a week into recalling my dreams.

I hate that, I often ramble about things, only to find out later that they didn't happen.

I have never notice that before. Only things that I can see getting confusing are dreams like false awakenings in the morning, and then it doesn't normally matter if you dreamed it or not because it wasn't important.

I guess it really depends on what you dream about though. I would say most of my dreams I am either not me or I am doing something way different than I ever would.

I had a really exciting experience in relation to the original post.

I was in an LD, but then everything looked so real. SO, I began to think that I might be in reality instead. Only after I woke up did I find I was wrong, haha!

Ugh I get that all the time. I remember when I was like 10 or so I thought that I had broken my arm when I was a child... well one day I asked my parents and it turns out that I had seen in on a Sesame Street episode, and then had a dream about. Most of the time when I recall my dreams memories will come up, and I'll dismiss them as reality. A minute or so later I'll come back to them, and be, "hey...wait a minute!"

      and Rick:

At the beginning of my last lucid dream it was so real, I thought I was awake and in my backyard in real life, and at the same time I knew that I was having a LD (if that makes any sense...). It felt very unstable, and that If I moved too sudden or whatever I would wake up and actually be in my backyard. But then I did a reality check by jumping really high, and I gained full awareness.

It does make sense to me. I know what you are talking about. You know something funny? I was in my backyard as well in my LD. I didn't get get awareness by jumping, but by web-slinging. (Yeah, Spider-man) But anyway, even though I was having an LD, I eventually doubted if I was dreaming at all since everything looked so real, and also considered my experience to potentially be a reality. I was still LD'ing, though...

happens to me all the time, sometimes its a lil weird too, like i swore that this girl i knew told me she masturbated frequently in a dream, i didnt think about it til one day the topic came up and she said she dont need to do that, then i was like "no, wait a minute, you told me you did that shit all the time", and then it dawned on me that it happened in a dream whats funny is i didnt remember that dream til that day, so when we was talkin bout it i remembered her sayin it and it was just like it really happened and i was rememberin a memory
