I usually wake up at a random time before I actually get out of bed, but usually I just sleep when I notice the strange hour. Recently I made the decision to try WILDing during that time. I had success with it last night and I managed to get into a lucid dream. I thought I'd do a few RCs just to be sure, and nothing worked. Even the clock I saw was functioning completely normally, and every DC I asked said I wasn't dreaming. After a certain point I just panicked because I figured I was awake and I was taken to a strange place overnight, and I was wondering what was happening to me. Shortly after, I lost control and memory of the dream.

Are there any reasons that anyone would suggest as to why not a single RC would work?
Ham Sandwich Theorem: Given n objects in n-dimentional space, it is possible to divide each one in half (according to volume) with a single hyperplane.

Disbelief maybe? I mean if you were very surprised when you succeeded you may have doubted yourself. This could cause the reality checks to fail. I've not had a reality check fail on me though. Let's say you get into a WILD right. You are suprised and shocked. You do a reality check and it fails. You lose a lot of confidence right there, it doesn't really surprise me that subsequent checks and asking DC's also returned incorrect results. Confidence plays a major role in this whole experience, it is the most important fact I've learned thus far. I could be entirely off base here as to what caused them to fail... but those is my thoughts.

I have had reality checks fail before, even when I know I'm dreaming. I looked at my hands and they were normal; I jumped and tried to float; I closed one eye to see if I could see the side of my nose, and I could, etc. If you reality check during the day, your brain might be generating the "reality" results.
One test that has always worked for me is the nose pinching test. If you pinch your nose closed, can you still breathe? In reality, you can't, but in a dream, you breathe normally.
If you can remember the transition or anything about the night, you can know that you're dreaming. This might give your brain the extra boost of confidence to let you get the right test results.
The more dreams you have, the more you'll begin to recognize when your fingers can be pushed through your fingers and that you can still breathe with mouth and nose blocked. Good luck
We were always dreaming of how it was going to be.
