Generally, I have no use for such a device, but I figure someone else might.
During the dream, I attended a lecture, then a professor and researcher of dreams handed me something. It looked like a plastic pouch, which held about 25 oz. of (darker) red liquid. He said to put it just above my pillow at night, and it would induce LDs. I followed him, asking him how it works, but he only reiterated to put in on the bed then I will LD. This did cause an idea while still dreaming.
Now, it's been well documented that some people vibrate right before transitioning into a WILD. If you know electromagnetism, you know why cellular phones don't work in elevators. In principle, the metal polarizes causing an equal but opposite electric field which cancels the original. Similarly, that's how this red liquid was used.
Right as we begin transitioning into a dream, the red liquid will respond to the vibrations by "polarizing" and sending an amplified response back to the dreamer. The more intense vibrations should effectively startle the dreamer enough to revive their awareness, without breaking their concentration and destroying the dream. After the dream begins, I assume the vibration would stop and likewise the response, so the dreamer won't be vibrating during the entire dream.
This way, no lights, sounds or any unnatural stimuli is added to the sleep process, and only the naturally occuring vibrations are used.
