I had some bizzare dream type things last night. I couldnt tell if i was dreaming or not. I was half awake. I was thinking VERY deeply about my evening. I felt like is had taken Datura. I beleived that the people i had been with earlier where in my room, i didnt see them but i did talk with them. Then I gathered from the conversation that they were leaving. I felt the urge to go with them then told myself "no, this is only your imagination, sit the fuck back down."
Very bizzare feeling. If any of you have ever done Datura you can relate. Doing things, and then suddenly nothing is there.
      What is this called?
I was COMPLETELY sober, by the way. So don't try to relate this to drug sideaffects.

Well yeah I've read alot about Datura: It goes waaaay too far. www.erowid.org has loads of Datura TripReports that are as amazing as they are Unnerving and pure EVIL of nature. So JUST in case you're interrested: DON'T ingest Datura Teas/Seeds and other plantmaterial that contain the Same Substances: Atropine, Scopolamine and Hyosciamine: Not ONLY are they VERY EASILY lethally Overdosed ( I believe 1 gram could make a fatal difference ) but the Trips take you into a manic Delerium: You WILL believe and INteract uppon your Hallucinations as they appear as real as anything else that IS real: Sucky if you hallucinate a SuperRealistic Bridge over rooftops: You'll simply walk straight off of the roof because your Judgement is waaaay too Impaired to know what to do and what NOT to do.

It's pretty much the deleriant state we are in in our Dreams: We don't doubt the Likelyhood or Possibility of ANYTHING in our Dreams. And neither will people on Datura.

However the REASON why your Dream was much like Datura is because it IS indeed a PSYCHEDELIC experience. In fact it has so often been speculated that DMT (DiMethyl-Tryptamine), one of the most powerfull psychedelics found in Plants AND in human Brain's Pineal Gland!, is the Substance Responsible for Dreaming, Near-Death Experiences and in some cases, where there's too much DMT circulating people's Brains, the possible cause of SchizoPhrenia. It is known that Schizophreniacs have much Higher DMT levels in their blood than other people.

So SOME dreams are waaaay intense. I had a likewise Experience where I dreamt that I and my girlfriend (At that time; she's my ex now ) had taken Magic Mushrooms with her and the entire Dream was just....sooo bizarre, Unnerving and extremely ''drugged up''. After that came another Dream that was far more disturbing, Anxious and Emotional
I woke up in SHOCK and still very confused, crying and anxious. I hardly even dared going back to sleep in fear of returning to that Dream.

I wonder where these overly intense dreams come from...cuz as shocking as I find them as INTERRESTING I find them too. At the time I was dealing with ALOT of emotionally exhausting Relationship stress. Perhaps some Emotionally stressfull situations stimulate your Pineal Gland to produce MUCH more DMT than it usually does at night resulting in overly extreme dreams.

yes, i've done datura several times. same with dmt.
but this experience i had, i wasnt asleep. i was totally awake just my mind thought that there were people in my room and it was talking to them. my eyes and ears told me otherwise. I knew that they could not be here, but part of my mind kept going.
this has happened to me tons of times. It reminds me strongly of my datura trips, not so much specific events but more the feeling of 'doing something, then suddenly nothing is there'. Like reading a book and then discovering there are no books in your room.
      Very bizzare shifts in reality.

I thought I was sitting in the desert the other day but that was because I had visual stimulation too. Not too sure about the exact situation your talking about.
