An Idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.

Lol ya it would be really boring if you didn't. But many people might not be able to remember the dream because the sleep was too deep? Or would that just help dreams...? Also I have a question to go along with this, if your put to sleep for a surgery or something chould you have a lucid dream? Any one here been in a coma?

Coma's are a lot deeper sleep than regular sleep. Deing drunk before bed would put you into a coma-like sleep. In this deeper sleep, your dreams are less vivid, shorter, and with such a deep sleep lucidity is almost impossible to attain.

Added onto the fact that you can really only remember a dream when being directly woken from it, you'll be extremly lucky to remember the last non vivid, non lucid, crappy dream you get from being awakenen from a coma.

People in coma dont dream! When asked what they remember many would recall some events before the accident then blank then waking up. That is if they wake up. And after they wake up many face months of recovery and many have temporary/permanent brain/nerve damage that results in stuttering, difficulty walking and other nasty crap. Comas are not fun...

I don't expect so. I guess comas can be different in severity, but as far as I'm aware, comas are about as low on the scale of 'being alive' as you can go - you just about breathe and work on the inside, but you haven't got any of that wonderful conscious thought. And I mean, the main reason comatose people stay alive is because we feed them, etc. They're not going to go get food themselves, so it's a pretty dire state when things like that are being ignored (or actions can't be carried out) by the body.

      As Wikipedia writes:

A comatose patient cannot be awakened, fails to respond normally to pain or light, does not have sleep-wake cycles, and does not take voluntary actions. [/b]
No sleep-wake cycles. There we go.

You can't have a sleep wake cycle if you dont wake.

Or if you're not asleep. (Coma != Asleep)
