Fever And Hypnologic Imagery

I've caught the Flu 2 days ago and have been having terrible fever the last 2 nights leading to 2 restless nights with hardly any sleep. However when I was going to the Toilet and closed my eyes I noticed that my HI had gone wild. Basically the HI I usually only get when I'm JUST about to fall asleep completely: very vivid, Colorfull, Immersive and Dynamic. Has anyone else noticed this while having Fever? Perhaps some of us who have Fever ATM can say if they have experienced the same super-vivid HI as I have while having a bad Fever and closing my eyes?

Sometimes when I'm sick I have like false awakenings. I get up and am reading a book or something, then I wake up and am in bed. Sometimes it still feels I am holding a book. And these false awakenings seem so real I feel, I just got up I don't want to agian... that might even be imagery instead of false awakenings even, I'm not sure.

[/b] I remember having that when I had a very high fever once (was slightly above 104F), but it felt like I was about to go on a very, very bad trip... (probably me overall just feeling like complete shit at the time)

If it would come without the Muscle aches, Headaches, High Temperature and Over sensibilty of the Skin I would actually LOVE it

yea, one time I was really sick and I was looking at this tripy poster i had. It had a bunch of images layered on top of each other and part of it was birds, it was like I could see the birds flying off the poster and the colors were radiating out of it. I don't know if that counts - wasn't really HI, more like hallucinating.

[/b] Actually, as I see it, Hallucinations are Kind of Rude Hypnological Imagery: So strong that it manifests itself outside of sleep and Closed eyes relaxation and into everyday reality. People with VERY high fever can hallucinate fullblown. I can Imagine their dreams being just as Psychedelic.

Hypnagogic imagery can be associated often with hypnopompic hallucinations. This meaning that a fever or an altercation in your state of consciousness can lead to vivid and quick HI. An induction of an hallucinogenic state of awareness. I don't suggest this but if I have had sleep deprivation and also fevers and too hot sleeping conditions that dramatically improved my HI. So there has been a time or two I have induced these experiences. shhhhhh!!!

I went somewhere, I don't know where, but it was pretty chaotic and I was switching between there and being in my bed. One second I was looking at the cieling, the next 10 seconds I felt like I was swinging around (like if someone was holding me by my feet swinging me around) and seeing something that made absolutley no sense, then me flying over the ocean/shore very fast barrel-rolling, and then me being back in my bed looking at the floor, and then woooosh I go somewhere else (and everything had a white glow). It was actually freaking me out at the time - I just wanted it to end.
