Hello! I haven't been to these forums for a while but I think I came very close to lucidity this morning so I have returned to seek out advice!

Ok, this morning I woke up then went back to sleep an hour later. I had a really vivid (and really disturbing) dream where my dad tipped a tray of big green beetles all over me when I was lying down. I always have vivid dreams almost every night but this one was very realistic. I can still feel the bugs crawling over my back, it's horrible!

Anyway, in the dream I was lying there with the beetles all over me and I suddenly became aware that I was lying in my bed in the same position. The dream started to fade and I could feel myself waking up, but I wanted to stay in the dream and see what happened, so I somehow managed to stay in the dream, although I was still dimly aware of lying in my bed. It was weird.

I flicked my dad on the forehead (revenge&#33 and straight after that I woke up. I can't really explain it, but it was really eerie ... I kind of knew I was dreaming and had mild control, but I never really twigged what that meant. I think I may have been semi-lucid but I'm not sure.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this? I've had quite a few dreams that have been somewhat like this, where I'm mildly aware that I'm dreaming, but I've yet to get in control. If anyone has any tips it would be great!

Once in my dream I was being straggled and when I woke up it still felt like someone's hand was on my thoart. It felt like that all day. What do you mean you kind of knew you were dreaming? Maybe it was just a really vivid dream, or how did you find out you were lucid? If you just became lucid suddenly that may be a problem. Whenever I become lucid without doing a reality check my lds are usually short and not good dream control, next time you lucid try and do reality checks thougrtout the dream.

I've had a few lucid dreams where I become lucid and kinda wander off or don't care.

Usually you just have to refirm ONE thing that you want to do in your next lucid and you'll do it.
