Hi everybody, this is a great forum.

I just wanted to say hello to everybody here. This seems to be about the best LD forum in the web which i could find. I think I've always had a quite good dream recall and some very few spontaneous lucid dreams, which were extremely exciting experiences, but I couldn't think of any way of increasing their frequency. Just by chance a while ago I stumbled over LaBerges work on the web. I bought one of his "kits" that include books, CDs and a NovaDreamer. It appears to work, I can have occasional LDs now ! But I still want more, more and more ... ! :-)

Sweet dreams to all of you

hmm.... Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming is like the bible of lucid dreaming.

      every LDer should have it.

      Welcome to the board Timotheus.

How's that NovaDreamer? I've always been kind of curious if it worked. I don't think I could ever bring myself to spend the money on one, though maybe, if it worked.

      Just curious.

As you probably know, it's a face mask that you have to wear at night that will give you "cues" (light flashes and/or sound, depends on your settings) once in a while when it detects that you are in REM phase. In the beginning I was very naive and just weared it and nothing happened. I am a particular deep sleeper and I find it quite difficult to recognize the cues while I'm dreaming. Now, I did some training on that during the day and it worked a few times for me. But I would not say that you will need less training with a NovaDreamer compared to more "traditional" methods, like MILD, especially if you're a very deep sleeper.

      Sleep well and prosper.

It was about 270 bucks, for the ND plus stuff like books and CDs.

Yeah... I'm not sure if it's worth it... but LaBerge's "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" came with it, and that book is truly a revelation.

Geeze that's a lot of money for a mask that blinks in the middle of the night.
