They are there, I know. I know the concept, I know what it is and what it feels like, I had a few before and know that they will keep happening from time to time. (not that I mind really, it keeps my LD counter going)
However, some nights ago, I had 9 FAs in a row. That's right, n-i-n-e. In all of them I was pretty aware that it was all a dream (gotta love non-working light switches and digital clocks next to the bed) and for some reason I was scared to get up from that bed and do whatever, frightened even. I just stayed on the bed and hoped for it to end for some reason. (there was nothing in the room though, and I couldn't hear anything even though I kept imagining monsters in my mind, how I hate my imagination sometimes.)

Now that the rambling's done, I'm just wondering if anyone ever had this high(?) number of FAs in a row before. Is it pretty normal or did I do something I shouldn't?

edit: forgot to add, none of them lasted over 3-10 seconds. When one ended, another one quickly started right away, for all nine times.

No, I've never had that many in a row before! Yeah I can see how that could get kind of scary. I myself would feel trapped like maby there was a possibility I would never really wake up. I would suggest the next time that happens to try something you know your brain won't be able to process, like flying straight up at a million miles an hour, or jumping off a building, or yell as loud as you can. Stuff like that always wakes me up if I can do it right.

I've had something like that before. I don't think I had quite nine, but at least six. I was lucid, like you, and I kept trying to get up from bed, but kept ending up back where I woke, until eventually I actually woke up.

This has happened to me too, having 8 or so consecutive false awakenings (all of which were in nightmare format). That kind of thing really messes with your perception of what's real or not. Every time I got out of bed, I'd be attacked by something invisible on the other side of my door and "wake up" in bed again. When I did finally wake up, I didn't get out of bed or go back to sleep for quite a long time.
